QUOTE(azhar75 @ Dec 3 2016, 02:06 PM) Most probably the TAC has been resolved. If not, just ping CS to get them move immediately... that would be include PSN 2 step sms too? dang.. was thinking to port in.. btw, vpn bypass the throttle too?Only 2-steps verification from Google, Yahoo, Outlook, and the like still not resolved... Already 2 months... |

QUOTE(c2lia @ Dec 10 2016, 08:58 PM) Hi all, I've visit the webe website, researched and read through all the details but just in case I'm missing something out, I'd like to confirm them here. Answered in boldCurrently I'm using Streamyx 512Kbps and paying about RM70/month. Reason I'm looking at webe is because the current RM79 price is almost the same as what I'm paying right now. My question and why I'm considering webe:- 1. Is webe available at this address (93250 Kuching Sarawak)? I've look on the coverage page but it's hard to tell (there's no indicator or I'm the one colour blind). From what I saw, it seems like 3G is available but 4G is not. Can anyone confirm? I hope it can at least have 3G. I don't care much about 4G. (because even 3G is faster than my current Streamyx now). 7th mile? If so, only Celcom 3G.. my friend using it now.. speed is obviously better than your 512Kbps streamyx. 2. I don't stream video from internet like those iflix or netflix thingy. Even youtube also I don't frequent. Streaming cap to 2Mbps afaik from their TnC. 3. I don't download stuff like P2P or torrent. The only time I use huge data is to update my Windows 10 and MS Office. P2P is throttled to 64Kbps. 4. Will it work on my laptop built in mobile broadband (it's a Dell Broadband Mini Card something2)? Previously got 1 time I have subscribed to Maxis mobile broadband and I can insert the SIM into my laptop slot and it worked so I'm wondering if this webe can work on that or not? Or do I need to buy a new 3G modem dongle? Or does webe only work on the certified phone like they said in their website? (Reminder again: I only need the 3G). Probably it will work.. I'm guessing you'll need to have "big" sim adapter for webe micro sim card. 5. I don't plan to share the internet or tether (it's my laptop and I don't think it/the 3G card can tether anyway). No else is using internet except me. Basically, what I want is for this webe to replace my current Streamyx for fast web surfing. Even surfing LYN or rotikaya like that I will have to wait for the site to load ~ 15s - 30mins. (I've experienced my friend UNIFI, almost all website load in an instant). 6. I don't play games online (MMO/MOBA/shooter) so I don't care about ping and what not. I understand that using wireless internet sometimes the line not so stable but I prefer my internet to be fast so that I can do things and be done faster rather than stable but have to wait and wait and wait for things to get done. And I don't mind if once in a while webe line down. I can still tether from my phone if really urgent. So any question above if anyone got answer please do reply. Thanks very much. |

QUOTE(c2lia @ Dec 11 2016, 12:28 PM) Thanks GameSky. Per your reply:- Desa wira? Well that area afaik out of webe lte coverage7th mile? If so, only Celcom 3G.. my friend using it now.. speed is obviously better than your 512Kbps streamyx. Not 7th mile. It's between Jalan Stephen Yong and MJC there. I check again I think got coverage la for 3G (white means totally no coverage). Other things are not very big concern to me. I guess I'll just try it now. The price is too tempting. If I'm not satisfied then I'll just terminate later on. mayang, yes my laptop only support 3G. Even my area (or Kuching generally) is not fully 4G covered so there's no need for that. I've tried Celcom 3G and Maxis 3G on my laptop before. Both have gave me quite stable 3-5Mbps speed whenever I used them which is already enough and much2 better than my current 512Kbps. |

QUOTE(c2lia @ Dec 11 2016, 01:11 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Wow this is getting more confusing.. Yes Desa Wira. So you mean in Desa Wira I cannot use webe even the simplest most basic 3G? I look for LTE definition here (http://www.ianswerguy.com/what-is-3g-4g-lte/), LTE is true 4G, while 4G without mentioning LTE is just a better more improved 3G (amirite?). What I mean was, webe using LTE band 5 850Mhz, which currently utilized by P1/TMGO. If out of their LTE coverage, it will rides on Celcom 3G/H+ network.. |
