For now Mi Max don't support LTE band 5 but webe will roll out band 38 which is supported by Mi Max. Riding on Celcom 3g won't be a problem.

Any idea when it will be roll out? Currently using 1+1, stuck on 3g😭

looking into subscribing webe.

just wondering.

you guys use usb modem. I have one.

but you do know it transmits IMEI when connecting.

and based in IMEI, we can know the exact model, whether it's a phone, a modem, ....

so how did you guys "untether" modem from getting charged?

http://www.imei.info was spot on on my phone model.

correct.

if base on imei, spot on, my modem gets categorised as modem. so technically i'm not using phone. wouldn't this be charged as tethering?

No it's not based on imei. Tethering if using multiple PC through natting (like a router). If using usb modem (with dialer) then its ok.

Furthermore, this is not auto charge like pay per use. It's opt-on type meaning you buy the pass for tethering, then you will be allowed to tether. If no pass and you try than webe will block you.

Anyone has tested the speed on 3G? Screenshot maybe? The sales person told me webe using ownself tower for LTE but ride on celcom tower for 3G. Not really sure what does that mean but i got a feeling the 4g only limited for certain area only.

Refer to their 4G LTE coverage here: https://www.webe.com.my/shop/coverage/?pagetype=4g
In fact, their coverage is much better than U Mobile
As for 3G it varies from place to place so only you yourself could tell.

not work. reason :
With support for Huawei HiLink’s web interface, expect nothing but a better user experience and enhanced convenience.

must use dialer type not web gui HiLink’s
