Adamw,
How did you get cellmapper to display the bands?    I tick on "estimate frequency bands and bandwidth"  but it does not show the band.  Tried restarting the app and rebooting,  still don't work

What phone are you using? Android? Rooted?

Lenovo vibe x3, android. Not rooted. When on 3G, it shows bandwidth information. On 4G it doesn't show band or bandwidth.

Was wondering if there is a difference in what would be displayed between 4G in band 5 and band 40 (tdd2300).

Have you ever locked in to band 5?

It appears from picture (see attached) that webe rolled td2300 (band 40) first, and will only implement band 5 at the end of 2017. Is this true? But why everyone is talking about band 5?

What did I missed out something here?

From this picture, early 2017 roll out band 40.
Middle 2017 roll out CA for intra-band CA in band 40.
End of 2017 roll out CA for 10MHz (band 40) + 20MHz (band 40) + 10MHz (band 5)

Band 5 had already existed ever since when TM are using the CDMA phone service.

u read it wrong. 300mbps speed came from TD2300 20mhz + TD2300 10mhz + FD850 10mhz. Most user never get this speed.
Webe using FD850 band 5 built for TMgo during TM and P1 network is still separate company.
Look like the slide wrong too. Why got two TD2300Mhz ? Where is TD2600Mhz ? rclxub.gif

So far anyone detected band 5 on their phones ?
I need to test to see if my phone work on band 5

When they implement band 5 in a particular location, then there won't be band 40 there as well? So if my phone don't work on band 5, then will have to fall back to 3g?

It's safe to assume 95% of the places without band 5 LTE will not have band 40 LTE

Most of the phone chooses higher frequency band which is band 40 in this case and if the signal strength is too weak, it will fall to lower frequency band band 5 in this case.

Can you screencap your LTE Discovery showing the connected band? What phone did you use?
