This is my score. My processor seems to give the lowest score, that's where the bottleneck is.

The Windows Vista Index Experience does not need to be compared with other users. It is how high your hardware capabilities are with regards to the highest possible 5.9 score. WEI (Windows Experience Index) performs several tests that differ from one computer to another. There is no point in comparing. Microsoft is not being driven to let users fight for the best, rather, to pin-point how well a hardware is performing with regards to the top of the line hardware available in the market today.

Here is the list of tests performed by the current version of Windows Vista (Build 6000) version of WinSAT.

Aero Assessment
This, presumably, is the test that determines whether or not Aero glass can be used. It probably contributes to the "Graphics" rating.
Direct3D Alpha Blending Assessment
Direct3D Texture Load Assessment
Direct3D ALU Assessment
These all likely contribute to "Gaming graphics" rating.
Windows Media Playback
Probably "graphics" rating. This probably assesses the ability of a machine to play video.
CPU Performance
Memory Performance
Disk Performance

It is a fact that a GeForce 6600 performs better than a GeForce 6200. According to Valve (popular game developers), most gamers in the world are using the GeForce 6600 graphics card. Just a small fraction are using anything higher than a GeForce 7800 GT. Nvidia is currently offering its 8th series of GeForce, and such, it is the top of the line hardware. If you get a score of 3.4 WEI, chances are you will get the best 5.9 score if your purchase the highest performing Series 8 of GeForce. This benefits the end-user a lot. Questions such as "How good is my computer hardware" and "What hardware is the lowest performing piece" can easily be answered.
