is it the way to identify gerbil sex same as the way we apply on hamster??

if we wait until we see their ball to identify the sex..
then possibility it will mate before we saperated...

If the pups are still furless but above 5 days old, you can tell by looking at the underside, females have 6 nipples, males have none.

Well, gerbils were never meant as feeders anyway. Rats and mice still more economical and easy to breed.

We all do not untung at all.... I kira... my gerbils and hamsters' food 1 month is RM100 alone.... bedding about RM21 a month and hay around RM10 a month.... crazy rite? But each time sell, those Rm30- Rm40 goes back to the animals.... it barely covers cost. We breed here is for hobby lah... not really for business. Also the quality and colour is different from petshops. People can always go to Petaling Street's petshop and look at the gerbils there.... the gerbils are 100% scared of human and touching, will jump or kick away... also the stock there got a possibility of inbred and have hairless tails. Makan is only Kuaci and Sengkuang.... not that good rite?

so since you mentioned that you wouldn't mind, you don't treat them as pets eh? lol.. well as you've mentioned, it's your opinion.. i'm not in any position to tell you that they deserve to be treated as pets.

me, even if a pinkies died sedih want to buang...apalagi want to feed to snake..huhu

btw if you put in hay, they will make nests... chew the stalks up to bits and construct their own home, quite interesting to watch.

Somehow on Tuesday, I a bit sot sot dei.... I got and buy 18 ceramic bowls.... but now just realize.... too many LOL.

Foo, me really get addicted with gerbils liao lar. Feel want to get more & more. Best is that each different colors in 1 tank.

Btw, how to feed that 5 fellas the vege powder? Can drip some water n roll it into ball shape & let it dry then oni give them like giving kibbles?
