Hello everyone

Got the gerbils from Foo on Friday, damn nice lah Foo also such a good owner/breeder Love the stuffs that comes along especially the cert

Anyhow, some updates, the gerbils are doing fine Foo, but seems like they eat very little lah... A lot of leftovers the next day, even the snacks, they pick the white nuts only

Tried to give mealworm, the Pied Black, don wan, the Agouti ate it halfway only...

Gave the sprout, they nibble a bit only, then don wan...

Haihh, how to make them fat, fat...

The thing they love most is ofcourse, "chew, chew, chew"... All the hays has been nibbled by now, they stuff a lot of it in the wooden house. The toilet roll (small one) has been chewd to half just overnite and gone the next day...

Question, do I need to make sure that there is always a toilet roll in their tank? They still got the hay, but when I put a new toilet roll, thats the first thing they go to...

I've already ask around the office to keep the empty toilet rolls for me... Haha, they must be wondering what the heck does she need so much empty toilet roll for

Arraille those nuts (almond, cashew) are the normal ones ahh? The ones we can use for baking is it??

Hmm, yeahh, waiting for them to settle in their new home, but looking at the nest they've made, looks pretty settled to me

Love to watch them stand up on two feet and sniff, sniff... They wont sit still if I hold them, want to go exploring

Just to update on the gerbils...

They are doing fine, but cannot tell how much they are eating cuz they will always cover the bowl with the bedding and hays... Haihh, gotta sift out the bedding from the food bowl to leave just the food, then they do it again...

Everytime I put new toilet roll, they will immediately attack it and within half an hour left only half already. By the time I get back from work, all gone

The agouti seems to wrestle the pied black a bit... Dunno play2 or what... Then she sniff2 the bottom part of the pied black...

Yesterday the agouti came out to greet me, thump her feet for a while, then go back playing around

Hi, another update...

The gerbils have chewed off the cardboard box I put in the tank too...

Toilet rolls don't say lah, can be gone in an hour...

There's always food leftover, can I just leave them in the tank or should I throw it and put new ones?

One more thing, do I pick and throw away the bits of cardboards and toilet rolls that they have chewed or can I just leave them?

She likes to handle pets tho, like last time she kept on trying to pick up my robos, you know how fast they are... Sometimes she even managed to get them

I think the gerbils will keep her busy

Update...

Gave the gerbils to my sis already She liked them, but did say they look like rats at first, then explained the whole difference

She loved watching them.

Tought her how to feed and all and changed the tank bedding and all just to show her how to do it

She said she'd have to write down some stuff cuz too much to remember from the food, snacks, vitamin and sprouts, hahaha.

Heng, you taught me how to make hole what for the tank... Remember melt it with hot nail or screwdriver thing... Well, I already made a hole for the bottle cuz if put inside takes up space. I heated a screwdriver, no need to be flaming red also can, cuz the plastic easy to melt one

Want to take some pixs of the gerbils + tank setting, but my camera rosak lah, sent for service
