Ping and speed are two different things.

Have you restarted your router? (yeah i sound like maxis customer service)

Maxis overseas ping (and speed) has never been impressive. You're only guaranteed 10mbps (with good sub 30 ping) when connecting to local sites or sites with local servers e.g. youtube.
