You can get each cover 100% of the loan amount, or each cover 50% or each cover any % as you wish or either only one get MRTA only. No restriction on it. The only restriction is your $$$.

My scenarios is person A & B joined name to buy a sub-sale property.
We paid 10% down payment and remaining 90% loan finance as staff loan under person B. MRTA is also included as it is compulsory as part of the requirements for staff loan.
However, SPA signed and registered with both the names for person A & B.
Since the staff housing loan is going to pay by person A & B, should person A buy MLTA so that person A is also covered?
p/s: Person B is covered with MRTA.

Yes, you may option to get MLTA covered for person A as person A is responsible for 50% of the loan commitment. But if person B's salary/commitment is enough to cover person A at anytime, Then you might consider to not get MLTA for person A. There is no right or wrong, person A will buy MLTA to let person B feel more secure in future. It's totally up to your choice.

All bank no longer offer MRTA?
I heard MRTA is beneficial for investment house and you get back what you dont use. Whenever you sell the house you will get the remaining differences.
Say you take 30 yrs mrta which is RM3,000.00 and then sell your house later after 3 years, then the insurance company will pay back the balance about +-RM2600 to you.
This is very fair deal right?
