i have been using this month for nearly a week already. to me this phone is awesome. got good weight to it, love the rubber back cover, excellent screen, pictures look so sharp, slim and tiny. applications wise, it has been good, fast and responsive. As mentioned earlier, the drawback is the tiny keypad but you will get used to it, camera can be improved further, AF and flash or something.
my verdict, even though i dont owned a lot of phone, previous phones were the Motorola V3, N80, K610i, in the past two years, i cant remember my other old phones. this could be the best phone that i ever bought, worst phone to me is N80. Battery life for heavy usage, ie 3g, web browsing, music, occasionally movies can last approximately 25-30 hours. not bad at all, at least it last for a day. N80 can only last for less than half a day. cheers. |

Very strange that they dont give all these new phones AF but they give w800i AF like its nothing. Lol. Is lack of AF really an issue? I see soo many ppl complain if a phone doesn't have AF. Focus manually lah!

I don't really like the W880 personally.
1) Button too small. Its the same keypad like K550, so I tried it and its quite difficult to use....I guess its good for lady users. 2) Although its thin, but the square thin shape feels not nice on my palm, like can break easily if I grip more. Plus, kinda hurt my palm with the sharp edge. 3) No radio FM....big, big minus! 4) No AF. Perhaps because since now they have cybershot series, wanna give more gap between W series and K series. 5) For a W series, I think W880 has small internal memory...only 16mb?! WTF, I pay so much only get 16mb?! 6) No infrared and cannot syncronize with PC.....PC Suite program gonna be useless. To be fair, I still like the casing material and the jogdial button. Thats all. ^^, |
