Even if Macbook is able to support Vista, it might have trouble running it because of the GMA 950 card unless you're running 'home basic edition'

I've tried it only via Parallels. It works great, snappy enough if you have enough memory. I have 2GB memory on my MB and Mini. There are no Aero effects but I can skip the eye candy for now.
Never tried it with Boot Camp though. |

I think, if with 512MB RAM, you might not get all the 3D features. |

Very good la if you want to install 2GB. Mac OS really hungry of RAM, max is as much as you can and you'll get perfomance. Google for tutorial la. But as far as I remember, just delete EFI partition then you can install Vista.

Well the point now is people are moving towards OSX for its efficiency, and that they can still do their business related stuff in OSX.
On the other hand, one of the common reason people insist to stay with Windows, is Games. Sooner or later people will run out of excuses to stay with Windows! |

Hmm.. i think still same. Games. as for business stuff, it's just will be windows. Since mac products cost quite alot and i don't think any company will use mac products unless it's a design company. 90% market share hold to microsoft and most of them are under companies rather than normal users. In my opinion, people are moving towards osx are the normal users, but for companies, they still will go to microsoft. That is actually Apple's marketing strategy, those (companies) who need to upgrade to Vista would most likely need new PC, so why not consider Mac, when Leopard is just around the corner. And Macs dont cost as much anymore, very much comparable to Vista capable PC. |

I have Windows PC, and the reason I still use PC is because:
1- Yes, games. Less games in Mac, I know some people said that there's many games in Mac, but I ask them back, do you play games? There's games in Mac, but in Windows, there's much much more choices than in Mac. 2- Easier and cheaper to upgrade. I can buy custom made PC, and upgrade it part by part depends on my budget. Also many choices of hardware. Side compability problem? I don't think so. Any person who said like that is really don't know anything about computer hardware. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love Mac, more than PC but there's still + and - everywhere in our lives. I am tired with this kind of discussion. Doesn't matter 10 people vote for hate and 5 people vote for. It's your own opinion and your own money. You stop using Windows because you like Mac better? That's good. People in Mac community will praise you when you move to Mac, but do they gave you money to buy your Mac? I don't think so. The same goes vise versa. In this type of discussion, I saw many people they say they hate Windows because they could not do this and that. Show them how to do it, and they are like wow! If they can't do something, you write a script, write a program or find a program and they are happy. Giving example more Windows user didn't know that Mac OS already have expose before Vista have. Then so what? If you go to everyone and tell them, will they go and buy Mac? I'm sorry because this post might be out of the main topic. I'm not emo, just said what I want to say. Stop complaining and keep on saying that which one is better and which one is not, learn, learn! Hate and dislike comes from lack of knowledge. |

Dude, you are a little off there, do look back the posts, NEVER was mentioned which was better, who hates what, who likes what, no one complained and its not even "this kind of discussion" (as you would like to put it), in fact YOUR POST just made it into "this kind of discussion" and isnt it ironic that you are tired of "this kind of discussion" and you still replied in what you think to be "this kind of discussion"!

Ya I'm tired but it's ok, it's me who typing nvm.. but well said in your previous post. As for companies, it's because of the software they use (that's my thought). And sometimes companies hire programmers to implement its own software to use. And those programmers do write programs for windows. If got some technical stuff, those guys will just fix it and that's what their jobs are. Anyway, it depends on company itself. So far, i only know that company like designing ads mostly use mac and some of that company(designing ads) also use genetic pc (maybe it much cheaper or other its own reason like vandetta had mention). SOrry for OT. I also kinda sad due to V day.. *sigh* Sorry Mod, I'm spamming! |
