Mind for more info? there's a vvt-i version as well with 140hp, same engine as the altis 1.8's nimble car good reliability, real power doesnt come in until the race cam kicks in, which is at about 6k RPM default drive it normally(assume stock) economy's quite good and be prepared for loads of modified national car and hondas come and kacau if can find the manual TRD version, grab it already, dont think twice, limited edition with 210hp, not bad for a car with this weight |

who said the new celica not good? Ive seen one Celica was pulling away after made a U-turn. The engine sound very similar to any DOHC VTECs. Awesome sensation lol.. I thought it was a VTEC, but it wasnt. Hahaha..

QUOTE(Beach_Boy(R) @ Feb 9 2007, 01:03 AM) normal driving, you dont really feel the rush Sounds to me this is the beauty of vvtl-i engines! I also tempted to get this celica in few years time when it drops to 80k and below. This is actually as easy to find as the mitsu evo 7 and nissan skyline, although in terms of perfomance also its not fair with this FWD 190 hp couple. unless u really thrash the engine rev it above 6k rpm, cam lift changes there you go, the DOHC VTEC like soundtrack and watch the speed grows it doesnt run out of steam until 8k RPM But actually the celica i most fond is the ST185 GT-4, carlos sainz ediiton. Too bad it is hard to find and also not easy to maintain such an old car. This post has been edited by travis_ckf: Feb 9 2007, 10:29 AM |

IMO, celica look like powerful sport car but the engine ain't that "powerful". Even a B16B/B18C can give the celica a good run, I wont spend so much on such car. since u are looking into fast car, dc2/ek9/evo4 will be better worth the value.

I dont mind if i looking for a coupe for my daily ride which can be my weekend ride as well. The triptronic will be great for city driving.Unless i looking for pure performance and for weekend use, i definery consider the integra DC2. Too bad its hard to find such cars and loan for those cars are not easy to obtain. |

The triptronic will be great for city driving. dont fiddle with the suspension or wheels too much, its a pretty comfy car consider its sporting outlook, you can try apply autofoam and put in sound proof mats if u want better NVHUnless i looking for pure performance and for weekend use, i definery consider the integra DC2. Too bad its hard to find such cars and loan for those cars are not easy to obtain. and btw, this is a toyota, so its pretty reliable lotus has great speed(with b18c inside, or the newer one with the same 2ZZ-GE as the celica) and handling, but you do lose out the usability of the coupe oh and also, celica's backseat is for short people, or short trips only anyone with a pair of legs cant fit in there for more than 20minutes This post has been edited by Beach_Boy: Feb 9 2007, 02:56 PM |

Should be a powerful and fast lightweight car with that. |
