My contribution, since Ramjade brought GiAC to my attention earlier, my turn to share FSM's RHB Cash Manangement A/C returns after several batches moved from MBB GiAC to FSM's RHB Cash management

Bottomline - although not as flexible as old GiAc (bugger the new one), still good for storing temp $

What I see in this because of the volatility and fast cash compared to funds.
What if you need the money at this instance but you cannot liquidate your money within today?
ASNB - weekend how?
fund - few day floating?
bank - anytime, anywhere

Ramjade has no kids/wives/mistresses and stuff la, thus his views.. let's just say it's truth for himself la, not others tapi sometimes he forgets to say so heheh
Hor Ramjade hor

Keep la RM5k cash in bank account. Even your atm let you withdraw RM3k each tine
Use credit card la. As long as you have cash to pay off your credit card,  it's as good as emergency cash.
It got nothing to do with truth but finding ways to maximise your cash workings.
*
again.. U do know your maximization may not be the same for others with different requirements?
If U insist, of course it's your version of truth.

eg. $5K cash in bank account? U kidding me - i can blow that in 1 shot doing work or just transfering to my family.

Use credit card? heheh - some of us maxed out our cards (yes, i've >10, from >4 banks) due to biz, 0% BTs (woo free % for rolling, FD, investing, etc.), etc.

So, still wanna insist there's only "1 way fits all" to maximize? hm.. hmm.gif You're right, absolutely right laugh.gif

eAccount.( it's a savings account)

Free IBFT, free IGB, daily transfer limit 50k, no annual fee, daily interest.
I think 3.6% is the highest in the market for parking money. (50k & above category without any string attachment like bill payment and what not)

whoa.. tq U very much for highlighting this account.
much more flexible than money market funds, with as high an interest rate +PIDM thumbsup.gif notworthy.gif

I recommend Phillip money market fund. Easily 3.6%. No t&c.  Easily beats what banks have to offer.

PIDM only pay you if banks bankrupt. Money market in Malaysia invest in FD. So...

based on my experiences with directly contracted stuff VS assumed stuff (non-contracted), i prefer to have a portion of my emergency buffer / dry powder in a vehicle which is insured lor, as compared to another which looks like a combo of FDs with PIDM but nothing in writing to insure to my pot of gold tongue.gif .
