QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 18 2017, 12:21 PM) What do you want to know about CMF? It invest in FDs. Money is not as liquid as eGIA as you need to wait 2 days to get your money back into your bank account. Current rate is about 3.3x%p.a sifu, CMF also non PIDM protected as eGIA, right? Yes, FSM is Fundsupermart. Before the arrival of eGIA, some people I know park their money in CMF via FSM. eGIA is better in that case? unless eGIA has descending profit ssharing (interest rate) in coming months |

QUOTE(TakoC @ Apr 29 2018, 07:57 PM) I heard that GIA cannot be uplifted before the month you opt for right? Boss, sifu Ramjade recommended alternative on post just before yours. What do you guys think is the best to park excess cash now? Still conventional FD or opt for GIA? Highest return to pro my excess cash. Don't need care PIDM protected etc. |

So, each must select 1 month tenure to enjoy the %? What if select 2 months or other alternatives. Have read this thread a year back, when I wanted to join the party, they choose to block the way, forgotten what I have read

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jul 21 2018, 10:51 AM) no. any tenure has its % profit rate. Thank you boss.![]() 1mth tenure need min RM5k placement. 2mth tenure above requires min RM1k placement. So if i were to put in less than RM5k, i will only enjoy 3.2% p.a. and i can withdraw anytime earlier (says 20 days) but still enjoy the 3.2% p.a. based on total day (20 days) i have put in? So if i put in RM5k or above, is that mean better to go for RM60 mths to gain 3.7% p.a, if i withdraw anytime earlier (says 20days) but i still enjoy 3.7% p.a. based on total day (20days) i have put in? Thank again. QUOTE(sendohz @ Jul 21 2018, 11:33 AM) both not under PIDM, right? |

QUOTE(Nom-el @ Jul 22 2018, 03:58 PM) No, that was the case a few years back. Not anymore. Starting from 1/8/2018, the ability to get profit based on number of days only applies to 1 month placement. For all other tenures, you must complete it to get the profit, meaning not based on number of days completed. So need min. 5k to enjoy the flexibility. I see..So this is what meant by the term below. 5k is the minimum entry back to enjoy the previous glorious term.QUOTE Except for the said revised terms, the terms and conditions for premature withdrawal of GIA-i with tenure of 2 (two) months and above shall remain unchanged. Please refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) and General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) for further details. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Aug 2 2018, 12:16 PM) eAccount.( it's a savings account) Means PIDM somemore ? Free IBFT, free IGB, daily transfer limit 50k, no annual fee, daily interest. I think 3.6% is the highest in the market for parking money. (50k & above category without any string attachment like bill payment and what not) Just campur bincang, ikan bilis even has no that big total wealth, not to mention emergency fund. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 13 2018, 10:50 PM) eGIA was good in the good old days. Now not anymore. You might want to take a look at https://www.eunittrust.com.my/ (Phillip money market fund - scroll right down) Sifu Ramjade, is there a dedicated thread to discuss about this fund as I'm new to fund and only recently invest in asb. Wish to know how much the minimum to put this in, and there are board rate shown in tabulation in the link given but none the tenure shows 3.69% (besides the ads banner)? So it works almost like this eGIA? The only con is it take longer times (few days) to get the fund back to saving accounts compared to eGIA, am I right? QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 16 2018, 09:12 PM) new m2u app, no Thank you sifu for differences clarification.new m2u web, not available if you dont have existing GIA account. If you have, then can do new placement. use old m2u web to create new GIA account. classic m2u web, yes. I tried to login with new web m2u, guess they have added the GIA in drop down option. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 17 2018, 12:23 PM) dont understand. what is "target" Sorry sifu for my poor language.maybank updates the gia rates on monthly basis. no wonder they delayed this "feature" to 16 Aug, because that's the rate revision took place each month on the 16th. the 2.5% p.a. for 1mth tenure should be new rate effective 16 Aug 2018 to 15 Sep 2018, yet to be updated in mbb website. I meant if MBB provide only 2.5% meaning they are hoping for new group of customer who only aim for such interest in return, instead of old timer are using GIA to aim for much higher interest rate. Apologize as I can't remember how it works as I only read previously about the good old time. Is the interest immediate release together with principal upliftment? And every mid of each month will announce new interest rate, is this meant the placement between 16/8 to 15/9 will be based on previous month interest rate which is 2.5%¿ |

QUOTE(bla2sheep @ Aug 19 2018, 09:07 AM) Some information by Ramjade, we can further discuss in eUT thread.https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=89986305 eGIA min 5k 1mth but low rate as 2.5% (eg for this month) If 2mth or more 3.x% but must complete the selected tenure to gain interest. |
