QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 20 2017, 07:46 PM) Still valid. Please uplift GIA on 31st July to lock-in the profit, then place it back again on the same day. Try test uplift on 1st August without requesting the TAC and see if the system calculate the 1 days interest or not. If yes, that means all GIA placements before 1st August will still entitle to "any time upliftment with full daily profit payment" for the very last time. U guys have discussed so much on GIA i new requirements. Just want to confirm. If I lock in profit by withdrawing the GIA i placement (<1 mth) on 31/7. Then immediately place back again on 31/7. Withdrawing it anytime within Aug month, can still get the 3% pa (daily calculated) profit ?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jul 28 2017, 09:04 PM) I did put many 1k placements for 12mth tenure @ 3.25%. when the time comes next month onwards, I'd still get daily interest upon uplift. of course this won't last long anyway. Ya, the good old days of MBB eGIA i daily high interest is over starting Aug 1st. So my July placement is the last time I will enjoy the flexibility it gave !

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jul 16 2018, 10:22 AM) Important Notice: Mudarabah IA - General Investment Accounts13 JULY 2018Dear valued customers, Kindly be informed that effective 1st August 2018, the Customer of General Investment Account –i (“GIA-I”) with tenure of 1 (one) month are allowed to do premature withdrawal of their fund from GIA-i account. However, the payment of profit (if any) will be paid based on the number of days of the investment. Except for the said revised terms, the terms and conditions for premature withdrawal of GIA-i with tenure of 2 (two) months and above shall remain unchanged. Please refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) and General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) for further details. QUOTE(Nom-el @ Jul 22 2018, 03:58 PM) No, that was the case a few years back. Not anymore. Starting from 1/8/2018, the ability to get profit based on number of days only applies to 1 month placement. For all other tenures, you must complete it to get the profit, meaning not based on number of days completed. So need min. 5k to enjoy the flexibility. For GIA-i, the underlying asset is loan to Maybanks' customers (retail financing). Have not join this thread for a long time. Good news as I have a lump sum which I need to park for <1 mth. So this will earn me some pocket money. Thanks !

QUOTE(Itu_Dia_Man @ Jul 30 2018, 05:12 PM) I checked the Maybank announcement again and now it says effective 16 August https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...nt0718_mia.page? Ha, have to change my plan. Was hoping to do it on 1/8 while parking at OCBC SmartSavers for 2.8% interest.

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Aug 2 2018, 01:59 AM) If the amount is more than 20k, why not UOB ? Above 20k 3.13% or above 50k 3.6%. With savings account flexibility too. This new eGIA just nice to fill the gap for under 50k parking money. Which type of account in UOB, SA type ? I have a UOB SA but did not really make use of it for temporary parking. Thinking of MBB eGIA for its flexibility as not sure will be there for how long.

Just placed for the MBB GIAi 1 mth. Hope that withdrawal within 1 mth still can get interest as the new T & C came into effect. If anyone has play play, please let us know, meaning terminate after few days or so.

In MBB online account, unable to find link to GIAi ? Used to have link under "Apply" I think.
Trying to put some short term fund into the 1 mth 1.0% with flexibility of withdrawal, still getting the daily 1.0% interest.
