Last time I chose GIA, put around 20 days then withdraw, profit.
Days ago I chose Murabahah Deposit Account (MDA-i), after 5 days then withdraw, they deduct my money! Mean no profit/interest but also deduct my money.

Wtf?!! Thought all same, damn...

Hi guys
I've got some questions. If i plan to put 1k into this GIA scheme I can withdraw it anytime within the same month right? Whats the difference between the min. rm5k(1 month) and min rm1k(2 month and abv)?
*
no difference.

Just trying, before put I searched the whole T&C everywhere they stated early withdrawal no profit, no state deduct $. Sad, rm25 gone.

Thanks for the response. Btw will there be any chance that I will lose my capital money since it's not under PIDM protection? As this is my ptptn loan that I will need to use to pay my fees at the end of the semester.
*
Yes, got chance. But so far no one loose money yet. So every night before sleep, pray Maybank wont gulung tikar.

Hope this is not silly question - what do i benefit from putting longer tenure (say 6 months or 1 year) VS putting monthly and just put in auto renewal mode?

No difference.

This is just so sad. Looks like my short term cash have to go back to savers acc. And the rest to CMF. Lucky I has FSM.

If you set the placement to be 60 months, the rate will be 3.55% , but you can still withdraw anytime and receive full interest because the placement was made before the 1st of August

Not bad idea..

At least better than basic saving account ok already. For newbie I would say no point go thru so much trouble to find a slightly better "SA". Over a period of 2-3 years while u kumpul fund for next big purchase or investment the amount u gain is negligible in all the enhance SA. So if u got Maybank, just go ahead with whatever convenient for u.

Anyway since this is eGIA thread, i think it's best to just close this thread. Since eGIA in its current form is not better than basic FD. And even more useless as "SA"

Strange why they do like this.

They want customers to keep putting in and withdraw every month??!?  rclxub.gif

U obviously new to this game... u should read this thread first. Basically they are using it as a high interest savings account. In any case, it benefits maybank to gain more investors. They made their money daily too... at least this way we have a way to share the pie.
