QUOTE(ytan053 @ Jul 28 2018, 07:27 PM) As long as withdrawal on the day is before 930am. What I did is plan ahead. I.e. need money in Maybank on Wed , I submit the sell order on Tuesday night after 6pm which is still considered as before Wed 930am so that I don't need to stress myself to submit the order before Wed morn 930am. For other than Maybank, the transaction at times can take another working day or very late on that day itself (11pm + only see the money in the account). don't brother with egia if u can plan ahead Yeap i'm well aware of that. Still the thought of emergency fund still lingers. and the new requirement for eGia is RM5k min compared to previously RM2k

Above 20k 3.13% or above 50k 3.6%. With savings account flexibility too. This new eGIA just nice to fill the gap for under 50k parking money.

Thinking of MBB eGIA for its flexibility as not sure will be there for how long.

I think 3.6% is the highest in the market for parking money. (50k & above category without any string attachment like bill payment and what not)

Thank you guys for highlighting the RM5k placement with daily interest paid for early uplift. It was gone IIRC since last August.
Wish I had read this sooner, as I have some cash sitting idle because I underestimated the difficulty in getting ASN units nowadays.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 2 2018, 11:48 PM) PIDM only pay you if banks bankrupt. Money market in Malaysia invest in FD. So... based on my experiences with directly contracted stuff VS assumed stuff (non-contracted), i prefer to have a portion of my emergency buffer / dry powder in a vehicle which is insured lor, as compared to another which looks like a combo of FDs with PIDM but nothing in writing to insure to my pot of gold .
