What does senior member means?  Those title carry no weight.  When i buy things here, I judge it mainly from how long they been around.  If they got sales thread, i go click on them and check if they have good feedback.  of course have to q/c the feedback to ensure it's not self made.  And if possible always insist on cod.  So far, i have only once been in the case of money paid then seller dont fulfill bargain, that was almost 10 years ago for the purchase of PSP, it was a big case back then, i think apis lua_lua was also part of that case.  I was lucky cause i got my money back after filing police report very early.  Basically, my benchmark now is forum users who joined before 2010 has more credibility, and generally the longer they are around the better.  I dont see many ppl like me old timers around.

You guys should go make a police report. Better if got knew some of the police officers can speed up the process much faster.

My fren got scammed in mudah for RM2k.
SMS, whatsapp, call logs, bank in slip is used as proof in his report.

Got it back after 2 years.
The fella even changed his phone number and let his prepaid expired to avoid calls.
Police tracked to bank account and got his new prepaid number, and I think cyber crime or business crime division called the fella telling to return the money.

He didn't have any personal friends in the police force. They solved his case.

Agree with you on this. Some risk we cannot foresee it until that thing happen.
Even if we dealing with a good seller, other risk still in play.
Like mine last month, parcel lost with Poslaju.
Numerous dealing with poslaju, this is 1st time happen to me.

Also, even do COD also can "kena" scam. And some shop also conned it customer.
Try reading topics here in dispute, you will get the actual pictures.

Yeah, scammer usually very slick & have a thick face.
They will play whatever card in their hand to avoid/escape to save themselves.

Here is my story.

I have just lost my phone due to being stolen and in need of a new phone. Thus i saw aromachong's deal when remix mentioning about it in s7 edge thread. Went to her sales thread. Since i am not staying in semenanjung, i have to proceed by post without choice.
Anyway i have doubt at first. But the seller is confident and there are some senior forumer backed up her up (i think the gem five sales built up her reputation). Even lucifer comes and ask the one in doubt to leave the thread which further reduce my doubt. Thus i proceed to order a S7 edge from her at RM2150. I have traded a long time by post (mostly buying). Didn't expect i will be one fell in to trap this time which involved a senior member with some reputation.

Aromachong may be genuinely selling by being a middleman. But even being a middleman shall take every responsibility to handle your customers since it is your supplier problem. So far she still replying my messages. But not sure why she no dare to reply in forum.

not even any bank-in slip / screenshots as proof that they made payment only to be scammed?
so as some have already asked - really get scammed or just accomplices trying to make the real victim/s feel like got hope?
