what camera is it? most have preset white balance and some have manual settings for it. Would be easier if you state your camera

Recently got a Fuji S9600.
Somehow The Custom balance doesnt work that well....until i read in the manual "hold a piece of white paper in the sun" >.< Tried using photoshop to add in photofilters...but result is no where near the real "outdoor" WB. |

Custom WB sets the WB in promptu during a shoot i.e the camera still adjusts the WB for you but closer to your shooting environment rather than just tembak only. For Custom WB you will have to take a shot for the camera to 'sample' before it adjusts itself for you. For Custom WB the camera makes a guess based on your sample shot, different from setting Kelvin where YOU set the colour temperature directly onto the camera, the camera dun care already, it assumes you're right.
