i HAVE iKHWAN mastercard which give 5% on FRI/SAT for petrol/grocery

is there any way to fully utilized the cash back 5% by spending online , such as shopee ? or etc ?

QUOTE(swn525 @ Mar 14 2018, 04:11 PM)
for online transaction, i will use public bank visa signature, 6% for dining, grocery & online transaction in everyday, cap RM38
sorry for out of topic, just want share the good to everyone
*
yes, i have PBB VS as well,
all my cards that can use online , i have maxed out .

Except this Ikwan , i have no idea how to max out ,
may be buy cash voucher on FRI/SAT , but not easy to resell those voucher

QUOTE(swn525 @ Mar 14 2018, 04:22 PM)
why want to max out all of your cards?
*
maxed out === max out the cash rebate , eg: RM50

there IS always variety of ways to max the cb, but the question is WHY?!

keep it as backup card cannot? must use? lf u insist the spend for the sake of reaping the cb, then spend for petrol and grocery lor.

pump 1k petrol? can? later you said not enough cars or cars no need so much petrol, etc etc
buy 1k grocery? ok? later you said buy vouchers cannot resell, household not many grocery usage, etc etc

alternatively, reload TNG 1k? then you can pay all the tolls or parking malls or even pay at Watson's or Juiceworks, etc there are tons of merchants accepting TNG as payment.

why is it imperative for you to max the cb?  hmm.gif
*
why ==> for those who spend time in lowyat credit card rebate , the "why" should be the same , to get $ out from credit cards/bank
if not , why the hell waste time to find out ?

Currently i hold :
1. PBB VS + Sup == RM38 + 38 + RM50/weekly ===> consistently meet
2. UOB YOLO= RM50
3. HLB WISE = RM100
4. ALLIANCE YOUNICE = RM50
5. MBB Ikwan = RM5--50 depend on Fri/Sat grocery/Petrol

as u can see, RM50 here , RM50 there ...... it's add up monthly and yearly !

don't spend because the cash rebate, just spend what you really need/use it
*
today i get a suprised PBB VS , SHARP PRESSURE COOKER , really doesnt expected .

most of my spending are not my own === help friends/customer pay bils , such as TNB . (TNB bill can easily 4DIGIT)
i used that method on all my cards , except IKWAN ....
that;s why i'm asking here .

it's extremely hard to spend RM1K petrol/grocery in penang monthly .

QUOTE(rapple @ Mar 14 2018, 05:19 PM)
Unnecessary spend 5k for rm250 cash back, where IS the logic in there?

Unless your spending is needed.

If you have the cash to repay back in full every month then continue to chase cash back with your unnecessary spending.
*
rapple,
we met in 0% balance transfer thread ,
this is my side income for credit cards .......
cash rebate ~RM200-300 (when MBB AMEX/BARCELONA arrive , +RM100)
Balance transfer , another few hundred .....
+ other banks free gifts ......

Go to bank to apply for a credit card machine with Groceries MCC.
Be careful. Once you get caught, the banks will terminate your cards. The rewards/rebate shall be recalled if you are involved in business activities.

im not running business to get the cash rebate .....
just regular consumer who spend and get cash rebate .....

You do it consistently, then legally it is a business activity and it is part of your income.

I just remember...

You can use Ikhwan Mastercard to pay at Taobao.com (to buy things at Taobao)
Sometime (not always) you may get cashback at Alipay Hangzhou (Groceries MCC).

AMEX give good points exchange ?

if she can swipe RM22M , might as well as get the no cap , cash rebate card , such as HLB Fortune 1% .....rm220k cash back ,,

She spent at Tesco (maybe wholesale, buy for other grocery shops) if I am not wrong.
5X Treatpoints worth 1.25%, no cap. If redeem 100 million Treatpoints, RM250k worth of Petronas Giftcards / KFC / McD / Secret Recipe vouchers!
*
i see. .....
i do see limitation with her method ,
bought RM22M tesco/Aeon voucher ...... not easy to use/sell the RM22M voucher ......

getting RM250K vocuher is another headache ...... how to spend them ....
*this is the issue i face too , when i try to max out MBB IKWAN by buying supermarket cash voucher ,
when i tried to sell at FB group , those buyer demand deep discount .

but it doesnt .

i email BNM +Maybank on 5dec , but till now , no reply.
i plan to swipe RM1000 in DEC

Should i just swipe RM500 only ?

When was the November 30th, 2018 transaction at TESCO is posted to M2U?
Since Tesco is using CIMB terminal, the posting is hardly be same day posting.

Your rebate will go into December quota as it'll be posted on 1st/2nd December 2018.

You just have to swipe another RM 500 to get full cash back for the month of December 2018.
*
i though the CB is based on Transaction date ?

yes , the posting date is 2DEC ......
that might be why till now MBB havent reply my email .....even though i sent 3 followup emails ...

Cash back eligibility is based on transaction date.
Cash back to go into which month quota is determined by posting date.

This situation only happens if the last Friday/Saturday (for Ikhwan Mastercard) or Saturday/Sunday (for MBB2 AMEX) of the current month falls on the last day of the month.
*
this is so complicated ....

i was hoping it goes to NOV,
so that DEC, i can swipe full rm1000 ,
it's year end , easier to swipe ...
