Applied via card centre, received sms "successful" after 2 days. Tq sifus

I applied via email. It was approved within 5 days. Previously, I have applied via Ringgitplus (twice) and M2U (twice), always kena auto reject.

I applied for the Maybank Ikhwan Amex Platinum. Or so I thought. I received the Maybank Ikhwan Mastercard instead. I thought Maybank made an error, but turns out it was my error, I ticked the wrong card in the application form. In my defence, they have too many cards and I selected the first Maybank Islamic Ikhwan card I saw. Might have gotten American Express and Mastercard mixed-up for a second too.

Anyways, I immediately call Maybank. They said they can change the card without any other action required from my end. A week later, it's been approved and I got the "correct" card.

Now to see where the Amex Ikhwan can be used.

Is there a "cheat list" of applicable online merchants for the Ikhwan Amex to get the 8% cashback?

So far the major ones like Lazada, Shopee, Grab, FoodPanda no issue but don't pay bills from M2U, those will not give you cash back. I know M2C AmEx gives cash back if pay from M2U but that's not the case for AmEx Ikhwan. Otherwise, it is quite straightforward.

I just called CS to ask on the replacement card status, approved on 14th but no consignment number yet so means not yet shipped out.

Anyway, I asked on whether they receive the statement balance payment and the answer is yes. So can still pay to card despite it is blocked.

You can see the new card number (ending ABCD) at M2U already.

it went through successfully.

Mine still not shown. Still only showing the old card with red block stating acc not authorised.

sms card replacement received on 20 Oct, but i gotten the card delivered on 20 Oct too (as usual, sms is late few days).

I got the sms earlier than Clarence, on 14th Dec. Oh well, will just wait for the new card.

Hello, the maximum cashback is RM50 which is 8% of RM625, so if I spent RM625 on lazada which is eligible for the RM50 cash back, but because the last month's cashback will be posted in the current month, will RM575 (RM625 - RM50) only take into the cashback calculation?

cashback is based on spending, not statement amount.

so u will still be eligible for 50 cb
