clouded tubings are common back in the days all people use transparent tubings....
use biocide will reduce it, but it will still happen... and last time the clearflex tubing often cloud up very fast... even using distilled water, u will also have the problem, swiftech coolant make it worst after u drain the loop, the whole tubing will be clouded. use biocide or coloured tubing lo.. its not algae, but i not sure what issit, but it wont clog up ur block. if u see black or green, den its algae... |

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Feb 4 2010, 09:53 AM) clouded tubings are common back in the days all people use transparent tubings.... I have it too using distilled water + anti-algae. Not as bad as in the picture though. the first I also thought algae so I took everything apart and cleaned it up (twice) and the third time still happening although I put a sh*t load of anti-algae. use biocide will reduce it, but it will still happen... and last time the clearflex tubing often cloud up very fast... even using distilled water, u will also have the problem, swiftech coolant make it worst after u drain the loop, the whole tubing will be clouded. use biocide or coloured tubing lo.. its not algae, but i not sure what issit, but it wont clog up ur block. if u see black or green, den its algae... This time I left it to see how it would evolved. After a while it seems to have settled (it's not becoming worse). It is definitely not algae because my reservoir stay completely clear. I guess it is because the tubing is porous some minerals sticks to it. I'd like to know where it comes from though as the distilled water supposed to be 0% minerals. Maybe some flux left from the radiator ... Anyways, next time I take my loop apart, I'll buy colored tubing. No point on sticking with clear tubing if it only stays clear for 2 weeks ... |
