QUOTE(ryansxs @ Nov 5 2016, 12:24 AM) Errr... This is for 5" screen. All three variants has Snap SoC.Maybe you are waiting for the 5.5" Note 4 to have Snap653, which is yet to be found. This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 5 2016, 07:45 AM |

The Redmi 4 Prime/Pro is absolutely "under priced". Unless... Qualcomm releases slightly different variant of the Snap625... just like what they did to Snap800/801 last time and the current Snap821...
Quick Charge 3.0 is still mystery... if Xiaomi pays the license for QC3.0, it will be super-yummy... |

My hypothesis:
Redmi 4 Prime/Pro will have Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 only.... just like what is in Redmi 3S 32GB today... Quick Charge 3.0 is reserved to Mi Note and Mi series... |

So long as after the hack, the charging time is less than 2 hours, it's valid claim I guess...
Even the Google Pixel series also near 2 hours to fully charged...(2.7Ah and 3.4Ah capacity...) Redmi Note 3 Pro is 4.0Ah ... fully charged in less than 2 hours is a major win worrrr... This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 5 2016, 02:45 PM |

QUOTE(Charless8 @ Nov 5 2016, 06:01 PM) My hypothesis:SOT of Snap625 + 4000mAh + 1080P is more or less similar to current Redmi 3S. This is due to the Snap625 is more energy efficient when it comes to multi-tasking and heavy intensive tasks like 4K@30fps HEVC video capture and playback, gaming and GPS Navi without badly sacrificing performance. There will be "micro-stutter" or "micro-lag" for hyper-intensive tasks but can be "forgiven" in the trade of EXTREMELY low energy consumption. Thanks to the 14nm fab for Snap625. QUOTE(weryand @ Nov 12 2016, 05:14 PM) Ppl like me... LOL... I don't want hyper-super-bombastic SoC but failed to keep alive until 2PM everyday.... With Snap625 (and higher energy supply)..., I can crank up the screen brightness and can use the phone for many purposes (including Navi - the No. 1 battery killer....) from 8AM till 11:59PM on the same day....But cannot say more as I have not tested any of the Snap625 myself... But I am not gonna invest in Redmi 4... awaiting LeMoto P2 instead and after that can "throw away" all powerbanks and car charger |

QUOTE(drummer23 @ Nov 24 2016, 01:54 PM) About the same performance wise but 650 has better cores and gpu, bigger screen vs smaller. Depends. Mind to share charging time from 10% to 100% using stock and Qualcomm QC 2.0 charger...?Both R3S and RN3Pro share the same 2 hours and 30 minutes charging time with Qualcomm QC 2.0 certified charger. My hypothesis is that R4 shares the same charging rate as well... This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 24 2016, 02:00 PM |

Well if it does share the same result, then, good news as don't need to buy Qualcomm QC 3.0 certified charger... One charger is compatible to all R3S. RN3Pro and R4...
Can skip certified Qualcomm QC 3.0 charger and jump straight to version 4.0 later... This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 24 2016, 07:52 PM |
