QUOTE(mango27 @ Jul 17 2017, 07:10 PM) since January i think... i suspect a restart would work... but no way to boot... will go back for warranty la... reboot as in restart? I rarely use the physical lock/on-off button after enabling Quick Ball(similar to ios Touch Assistant). You can enable it at Setting>Additional Setting>Shortcut Menu>Quick Ball. "Quick Ball in simple words is a tough assistant with combination of five unique shortcut (helps to do quick functions and tasks easily) that user can customize also." One of the shortcuts offered is "power button" or "power". You'll get what I mean. Play with the setting. I have Lock, Screenshot, Back, Recent App and Power shortcut on mine. Very convenient. Btw, if the phone is off then, how do you turn it on? This post has been edited by UnknownH: Aug 14 2017, 07:42 PM

And btw, do check out this interesting thread I found. Might be a good way to determine whether your physical button is having hardware or software problem.

Forgot about the phone in the pocket and the end. Swapped LCD and did nothing. I'm afraid the mobo(IC display/light IC) is the guilt party here.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Aug 31 2017, 01:20 PM) Nahhh. Rather had Redmi Note 4 instead. Just a little bit topup. Redmi 4 Prime to Redmi 4X is a downgrade. Only the screen size is the thing that I look forward to. Other than that, 4 Note by a country mile. Added: Better deal hereThis post has been edited by UnknownH: Aug 31 2017, 01:40 PM

The Prime also doesn't support the 850 lte band. The upcoming Redmi 5 is probably going to be lighter and slimmer as well since it is rumored to come with a 3000mAh battery.
