QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 5 2016, 11:21 PM) My hypothesis: I'm guessing the SOT should be a lot more since Snap 625 is very energy efficient based on the Samsung C7 battery test done by gsmarena. SOT of Snap625 + 4000mAh + 1080P is more or less similar to current Redmi 3S. This is due to the Snap625 is more energy efficient when it comes to multi-tasking and heavy intensive tasks like 4K@30fps HEVC video capture and playback, gaming and GPS Navi without badly sacrificing performance. There will be "micro-stutter" or "micro-lag" for hyper-intensive tasks but can be "forgiven" in the trade of EXTREMELY low energy consumption. Thanks to the 14nm fab for Snap625. The C7 managed to score almost the same as Redmi 3s with 5.7" screen and 700mah less battery. |

So, Redmi 3S vs Redmi 4 (Standard) is similar but not the same? Some difference, but not sure correct or not.
- VoLTE support - Dual LED flash Infrared port still retain? |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 5 2016, 11:21 PM) My hypothesis: I think SOT will be slightly less than 3S. 1080p will have power penalty to battery life, not to mention low fps gaming performance considering GPU is almost same with Snapdragon 430.SOT of Snap625 + 4000mAh + 1080P is more or less similar to current Redmi 3S. I was hoping Pro version come with Snapdragon 650 |

QUOTE(abz @ Nov 7 2016, 02:41 PM) I'm guessing the SOT should be a lot more since Snap 625 is very energy efficient based on the Samsung C7 battery test done by gsmarena. Don't forget the fact that the version with SD625 will also come with Full HD screen Instead of the usual HD for other version of Redmi 4 and Redmi 3. The screen alone might be more than enough to offset any energy savings from the use of SD625. But it will certainly be a lot better with any off-screen task. The C7 managed to score almost the same as Redmi 3s with 5.7" screen and 700mah less battery. |

No it won't. 650 has dual A72 (big cores) while 625 only have quad high clocked A53 (small cores), for performance cores. Even with high clock & newer process (14nm) it's a far cry of A72 especially in single core performance.I don't know why it is so hard to put 650 in sub 5"phone |

QUOTE(weryand @ Nov 12 2016, 05:14 PM) Ppl like me... LOL... I don't want hyper-super-bombastic SoC but failed to keep alive until 2PM everyday.... With Snap625 (and higher energy supply)..., I can crank up the screen brightness and can use the phone for many purposes (including Navi - the No. 1 battery killer....) from 8AM till 11:59PM on the same day....But cannot say more as I have not tested any of the Snap625 myself... But I am not gonna invest in Redmi 4... awaiting LeMoto P2 instead and after that can "throw away" all powerbanks and car charger |
