3.8mm and 4.8 denotes the 'forcal length' of the lens.
while 1:3.2 or the 2.8 denotes the aperture size.

Usually hand phone cam wont telling u how big is the cms/ccd sensor size, and also the FOV multiplier.


A typical digital camera has 1/2.5" CCD, and having somewhere 6x FOV multiplier.

So, in that case, if the lens is 6mm, it means its the same to 6 x 6 = 36mm.

In your camera phone, I assume its somewhere 10x, making it a 38mm or 48mm.

The only thing u can get from reading the spec, is the smaller the aperture number, theoretically u can take better night photo than the other at higher shutter speed
