my monitor is LG 23MP68VQ - Freesync certified monitor pair it with RX560.
i've installed the driver from cd provided.
in the OSD settings i cannot find the freesync.

i've just found that there is OSD driver.
will try tonight.

btw, any chances that HDMI cable can cause the issue, considering HDMI cable have few types such as 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0

You didn't install latest driver from AMD website?

Should work with any HDMI >1.3 cable.

AFAIK you need to enable it in monitor first before you can enable it in Radeon Setting, similar to GSYNC i think.

Done..
need to install the OSD Driver from LG first.
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/support-product/lg-23MP68VQ-P

Download and Install: OnScreen Control - version 1.39.

works now Radeon FreeSync™ Over HDMI®, get 75Hz.

Guys, need your advice. I got a rig with i5 3570k, so now I want to add a GPU. Should I go just with HD7970 or a newer gen card? Just for occasional gaming so I think HD7900 should be okay for me, plus the cheaper the better.

I'm thinking of GTX 670 and 680 too but I prefer AMD due to Hackintosh and they tend to be cheaper but that was long time ago.

get newer version better.
RX4 or RX5 series is a good options.
I personally using RX560 and so far meet all my needs.
price wise also ok.

Yeah, doesn't need a high end card but thinking of on par or a tad better should be enough. Is there any possibilities GPU prices drop lower? Hehe...
Rm500 the cheaper the better. Been lurking used card, but hell. Even GTX 680 is still expensive. Haha... To think of it now, I don't mind AMD or Nvidia, any best bang for buck card will do.

i dont think the GPU price will drop for now, even tough nowadays people said that the CryptoCurrency price are drop..
in trading.. there always big player which will play around the pricing.
you can expect those retired miner who desperately need money to sell of their cards in lower than market price.
