Is there any 6900xt card that can fit matx casing? I found XFX but it's too long for my Fractal Node 802 case.. Maximum length for GPU only 32cm hmm..

Edit: Found Sapphire Nitro but macam over 1k USD while XFX is like 700 USD only but cannot fit... Hmm..

Of course it will go above MSRP. Probably around 5k-5.5k for 7900XTX
*
Wow...6900xt I think can get 3.6k to 4k ish now right? That's like 2k over sweat.gif

Benchmark is out! Performance is better or similar to 4080 except Ray tracing which is kinda expected. Thermal and noise is also slightly worst than 4080 but maybe optimized driver and third party will make it better.

That's not attractive pricing enough. Those are reference models. Based on the XTX OVERALL performance , that's not very convincing compared to 4080 and all of its feature set. Btw can be had closer to 6k now. Morale of the story, do not believe in AMD promotional hype.
*
200 USD cheaper with comparable performance with 4080...okay right? Except RT which AMD really is lacking sweat.gif

Lmao. Less than 20% RT compare to 4080 for RM 1K less. Good enough. Many play games w/o RT anyway.
Linux out of the box performance is great too.
*
But the power consumption and thermal is slightly worst than 4080..not sure if long run will cost more than the 200 USD hmm.gif

They also have coil whine issue according to Gamer Nexus. Not sure if third party supplier can remedy these issues hmm.gif

Amd knew they cannot compete in performance that's why they came up with the much lower msrp as nvidia released their 4000 series way earlier.

Sadly for most of us, 7900XTX is not competitive enough to trigger nvidia to drop prices sad.gif
*
If 4080 can go down to 1.1k then it'll be interesting rclxm9.gif

Pricing is one thing... the size of the damn thing is another. I don't want to change my case just to fit a damn GPU. My Meshify C is not really a tiny case. sigh...
*
Nvidia 40 series are even bigger lol

7900XTX can be had for RM5.2k,

Cheapest 4080 is RM6.2k. RM1k difference for just 25% better RT perf? It's obvious which card looks stupid here. The only saving grace for the 4080 is that it has DLSS3.
*
But then 7900 XTX has higher power consumption..about 100W for gaming. Not sure how much that translates to our electric bill in Malaysia. If you are concern on the electric bill on a long term..maybe that makes a difference? hmm.gif

52w difference you go say 100w....?  rclxub.gif

I don't get the whole "I'm worried about power consumption thing".
*
Ah I was looking at the third party one like Asus and XFX. Not exactly 100w but close to. For me I do not care about the power consumption thing but I do not know about others. There's this Youtube video I watched that calculates like 1 day 2 hours gaming which translate like 50 Euro per year for electric bill sweat.gif

60w difference.

Quick maff time.
Let say you play game 40h/week at max load. That's 8kWh difference per month.
Average of 3 block = 35cents per 1kWh
That's less than RM3 difference per month. hmm.gif

To break $200 you need to continue doing that for 20+ years?
With that said, AMD need to fix the idle and multi-monitor power consumption a.s.a.p
*
Good math! Hahaha I guess with this it throws out the "power consumption" worries.

I just had a look at the Asus temperature and noise..quite good surprisingly! Don't know how much it'll cost when it arrives here though...5.3k?

All those are not reference design.
If you see extra branding in the card name, it usually not reference design like PowerColor Red Devil, Asrock Phantom/Aqua/Taichi, MSI Gaming.
*
Oh.. Cause I can get the Gigabyte one around 5k ish so I thought it's a reference design card since the price is slightly cheaper than the rest.

No, maybe reference PCB but not reference cooler.

user posted image

From GGB product page it look like the cooler is quite beefy.
With 2x 8pin, you will be limited to 375w so I highly recommend undervolting.
*
Reference PCB is fine right since the reference card is having issues etc.

Wonder after the announcement of Nvidia Super series, will there be any price cut for AMD GPU? 4080 Super is priced 999 close to 7900 XTX...

Globally? Radeons have been dropping prices steadily. 7900XTX had drop by up to 13% few months back. Locally? AMD Msia still smoking weed thinking Radeons are hot stuff

Go figure this prices vs 4080 Super

Sad...I was hoping to see 7900 XTX to dropped below 5k since I can see globally the prices are dropping... cry.gif
