Just found a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 480 OC 8GB at RM1341, that with 15% coupon, is around RM1140. That's a good price right..?

Okay I decided to go with Gigabyte G1 RX470 and probably pair it with a decent FreeSync monitor (thinking about LG 24MP68VQ..) sometime later. Have been neglecting my PC since my first son, time to get back in the game, I suppose
The pull towards the green camp is strong, but I guess.. I'm a bit biased, and nostalgic too. |

Mmm the DELL SE2717H is a bit cheaper on Lazada now, plus you can use voucher + Shopback, so.. hmm.
Anyway that unlocked RX460 - it's still no competitor to 1050TI, is it? |

Referance-build RX480s are.. pretty cheap, imo with coupons lying around. Would that be a better option instead of partner-tricked RX470 boards? What do you guys think?

QUOTE(S4PH @ Dec 14 2016, 11:07 AM) fireworks voucher already expired lol, at lazada rx480 reference is at 1180 last i saw, if can get discount below 1k its a steal Yea, that one, too. Although I'm not saying 'cheaper than RX470', it's just that with a little more I can get the ref RX480 8GB, rather than tricked-out RX470 4GB from other partners. Plus, online vouchers would pop up from time-to-time, like every other sales period. And most of the time I game with a headphone, noise shouldn't be an issue. But the heat, does worry me a bit.. |

Purchased a XFX RX470, was mulling if I should just add a bit more to get a ref RX480 or even migrate to the green camp, lol, but nostalgia won me back over, and I plan to save the extra for my nephew's GC, too. Oh well, just hoping I can get it before the holidays next week. Fat chance, but.. welllll.

As much as I would be rooting for Vega, it would totally be out of my range, considering I don't really game that much these days, anyway.

Right. After a couple of days waiting for my 470 from G5.. they messaged me the XFX 470 is sold out - they're offering a Sapphire Nitro+ 470 instead. I just said yes

Mmm pretty much the displayed price minus the 12% discount. Around $905. Should be a bit more exp for the Sapphire card, but they let me switch w/out any top-up.

Well.. seeing that how a 1060 and the 480 is somewhat priced pretty similar here, does quash the 'price advantage' AMD used to have, no?
Heck, I've seen cheaper 1060 around, even. |
