Is it really GTX1080? If yes then there's another hint on which performance bracket Vega will compete.
*
Yeah but it'll require more juice. Late to the game and around the performance of a quite an old card.

Nvidia is just gonna troll with their Volta laugh.gif

I don't think AMD can afford to sell it very cheap, since HBM2 is kinda expensive I read.

get newer version better.
RX4 or RX5 series is a good options.
I personally using RX560 and so far meet all my needs.
price wise also ok.
*
Yeah, doesn't need a high end card but thinking of on par or a tad better should be enough. Is there any possibilities GPU prices drop lower? Hehe...

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 18 2017, 04:27 PM)
What's your budget mang?
*
Rm500 the cheaper the better. Been lurking used card, but hell. Even GTX 680 is still expensive. Haha... To think of it now, I don't mind AMD or Nvidia, any best bang for buck card will do.

I don't think Nvidia going to rush out Volta after learned the capabilities of VEGA... Instead, nvidia going to release Pascal refresh just like what Intel did after AMD released bulldozer. laugh.gif

Next GPU card going to cost more $$$ with less performance upgrade... as there is no competitions.

Lets hope Raja able to trim out mos of the unwanted non gaming hardware feature to make RX Vega cooler & less power consumption. The FE version costs more $$$ & eats more electricity.

i dont think the GPU price will drop for now, even tough nowadays people said that the CryptoCurrency price are drop..
in trading.. there always big player which will play around the pricing.
you can expect those retired miner who desperately need money to sell of their cards in lower than market price.

What? Really?
I recall 1050 is quite far behind 1050 Ti and 1050 Ti is in similar performance level of 670/680/770/960/760/7950/7970/280/280x/285/380/380x?

is 1060 a value upgrade compared to r9 290x? if the increase in performance isn't that much, guess will wait a few months and see for the gpu prices to drop.

Anyone using this driver on Win7 x64 ? I read that it shows as 'beta' for this version and had some issues with it. However, the Win10 version is unaffected.

Yeah, not worth it unless your 290x is super loud, super hot and lemon overclocker.

My other PC with Win7 installed is not with me atm. I only tested the win10 version. I guess I'll try to test it later when I get the PC back.
