You guys knew that SAM actually is not RDNA2 exclusive?

Just realized that under Linux this is already working for some time (WDDM v2 got resizable BAR support).

So that means we surely gonna see the same thing for Intel+Nvidia and AMD + Nvidia as well.

You mean current or future Nvidia cards?

regardless of generations, so with all existing.

As you can see even Microsoft is supporting it already.

This means that AMD didn't want to implement Intel specific instructions to use gpummu feautures, they only allow it by AMD instruction sets.
Nvidia can just use these very AMD instructions sets to offer the same thing on Ryzen platforms.
Then they can work with Intel do offer the same on there.

Nvidia can implement it for Ryzen platforms anytime if they want.
For Intel Nvidia would have to work together with Intel first.

goldfries
AMD this stingy?
No 'permanent loans'?

That'd be even more reason for me not to stick to the review guide n test in a critical approach.

If take, next time they can make demands on the review.

Eh like that's not happening anyways? Lol. rclxms.gif

Or how many critical reviews have you actually seen?
I for myself have seen 3 that deviated quite a bit from the review guide.
Others are just following blindly.

any links to the critical reviews ? linus is hardly recommending the 6800 series

1) Linus
2) Jay
3) PCGH (German)

Oh n I said critical approach (as in not taking stuff at face value), not negative review before some get it wrong.

I'd have loved to see this reaction early this month, as well.
Because just like with their 10% Zen3 mark up especially for Malaysians they seem to be sticking their finger at us once again.
