Over twice the price, doubt those aiming for RX590 price point will skip to Radeon 7. hmm.gif

GTX1660TI $279 (MSRP). GTX1660 for $229, GTX 1650 for $179.

While AMD

https://wccftech.com/amd-rx-3080-3070-3060-...at-249-199-129/

AMD Navi RX 3080 $249, AMD Radeon RX 3070 $199 & AMD Radeon RX 3060 $129

Hard to believe.
*
I think there was a couple of rumors last year about Navi with GTX 1080 performance@$250.

Right now the best buck is 2060 because 1660 Ti is not out yet. ph34r.gif

Saw RX590 Strix for RM1799.. they really don't want to sell that card eh? laugh.gif

QUOTE(yhsiau @ Jan 26 2019, 07:32 AM)
I think AMD is suffering a suprise attack from Nvidia.. lets see how AMD respond.
*
I think AMD dgaf so much anymore about consumer gaming cards since Polaris. Back when their card actually give better price/performance here they actually lost market share that time.
Good thing they upped they driver game since then.

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jan 26 2019, 12:33 PM)
I dunno why AMD card will sell higher price at here than other country.
At other country, their rx580 cheaper than gtx 1060 6gb but at here gtx 1060 cheaper than rx580.

Dunno how they price it. They act like they dunno nvidia price at all and assume people simply buy without comparing.
*
In some country Radeon price is usually higher than Geforce. I think there is a lot of middleman involved before card reach end user here but don't quote me on that. hmm.gif

Perhaps AMD is focusing on grin coins mining. Recently sapphire released a 16gb gddr5 version of 570.

I think that just Sapphire want to capitalize in that area.

also.. the future is finally here. oh wait..

40-60 FPS@1440p on 2080 Ti. 22 years old game.
QUOTE
A new mod called Q2VKPT by Christoph Schied has been released. The game now features fully dynamic global illumination using path tracing, with raytraced shadows, glossy reflections and one bounce of indirect lighting. Works on both  Linux and Windows. This effort took 12,000 lines of graphics code and the replaced the old openGL renderer with a new vulkan renderer.

To think that many people actually believe Enlisted will run @4k60fps with RTX On is hue hue hue for me.

Underwhelming Radeon VII benchmarks. This the end of high-end Vega.

Also, why is it in Malaysia GTX 1070 is cheaper than Vega 56?
*
The performance is ok for me but not the pricing. This card is basically like the original Titan card for under $1000.
There is no confirmation yet regarding FP64 performance, some said 1/16 and some said 1/4.

They don't care about us anymore bruh. Palit 2060 price is lower than 590 Strix. thumbsup.gif

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Feb 8 2019, 10:59 AM)
is it worth it if Sapphire Nitro+ rx590

selling, RM1250
*
2nd hand? You can get Vega 56 for RM1.3k or 1070 for RM900.

Worth the price if brand new.

Thermal Performance and Power draw. These 2 are always off target for AMD. 2080 is at 225 watts while Radeon VII is at 350 with "almost" the same performance. Talk about 80+ degrees on load lol danggg

350? where tf u get that number? laugh.gif

I have this feeling that aftermarket will be much more expensive and consume moar powah. sweat.gif

Yeah man, >RM3k for 2070 is a waste of money imo, considering you can get 2060 for under RM2k. Extra 2GB + 15% of performance does not worth >RM1k laugh.gif

QUOTE(DoomHammer @ Feb 15 2019, 10:13 AM)
Yesterday I just installed RX580 (Sapphire Nitro) in my system which I bought used and very cheap. I changed my GPU because my GTX1060 (Palit) had refused to work anymore - I sent it for RMA.
I tried playing several games which are Dragonage, Dragonage 2, Batman Arkham City and Tomb Raider (new trilogy). The first thing I notice the games look better with RX580.
All settings are the same. The textures look more detailed and the render distance is better. Watching movies also more pleasant with RX580 -default warmer color and more enjoyable.
I suspect nVidia implement some kind of aggressive compression to affect the frame rate thus sacrifice the texture quality. GTX1060 produced more washed out textures compared to RX580. Do you guys experience the same thing?
Before I used GTX1060, my older GPU was Radeon 7870. I did not notice the difference at the time because GTX1060 frame rate is miles ahead.
*
I noticed LOD, texture shimmering and render distance in GTA:V slightly worse when i switched from 290x to 980 Ti but that is all. Other game looks "normal".
Nvidia CP driver defaulted to limited dynamic range instead of full if u use HDMI and that makes the color less vibrance or washed out.

Could you compare again and post some screenshots when your 1060 back from RMA and rule out placebo?

I don't know if we will see an aftermarket of this card though.

Btw you not interested in Vega 56? Saw a few for RM1k-RM1.3k in used market, still under factory warranty. brows.gif
I'm too broke too even afford an RM1k card right now. Probably will retire from PCMR. doh.gif

Meanwhile Radeon VII is pretty interesting, i wanna see the limit of this silicon. So far early adopter get pretty interesting overclock and undervolt results.

Mesa open source Radeon Linux driver RadeonSI received a patch to enable Primitive Culling with Async Compute and the result is huge performance boost for geometry heavy worloads. No result for games yet though, many games already have primitive culling baked in but not as efficient.

The fan noise is scary loud especially at max speed. laugh.gif
10% increase for 10% core + 20% memory overclock.

Good thing this doesn't have 76 bajillions screws to open and replace the stock cooler.
