anyway, any of you radeon guys tried DXVK wrapper in games that perform terrible because of single threaded only? like pCars?

AMD need to start bring out and optimize every features in Vega, that card performance simply doesn't make much sense for me.
New arch doesn't guarantee it will be great, now with ray tracing AMD gonna have even more problem. Nvidia got almost a decade of lead start with RTX.

DBSR, Primitive Shader, Rapid Packed Math, NGG Fastpath. All these need support from game dev to be enable according to them. One of their employee tweeted Primitive Shader is gonna be on driver level but then they scrap that and let game dev do it instead.

If Nvidia somehow able to put their new Mesh Shader(equivalent to Vega's Primitive Shader) on driver level in the future like they did with DX 11 command list-like(optimized multi-threaded) and tiled base rasterization(similar to DBSR), i say rest in peace Radeon driver team. We can see how much faster Vega and Turing in Doom which utilize Primitive/Mesh shader compare to their older sibling.

Indeed. Kinda similar to RTX though, but i guess Nvidia learned from Physx mistake by not making it proprietary and proposed the idea to Microsoft + making an extension for Vulkan.

Tomhardware Dutch sibling measured undervolted RX590 power consumption and the card eat 20%-30% less power around 1.4ghz-1.55ghz clock speed.
Of course this is just one sample size so your mileage may vary.

Yes but power drop is minimal i guess. IINM 1v is the target for most silicon.
Undervolting is similar to overclocking, different chip behave differently. I remember my old 290x could hit 1.1ghz even with -75mV.

Because they got away in the past doing shit like this and seem like China market give zero f about this as long as it affordable a.k.a not as expensive as a true 580.

To think that i'm able to score a "new" 980 Ti for 1.6k+ over 2 years ago which just slightly slower than Vega 56 is kinda crazy, GPU pricing really get f-ed after that. Gamer blame miner, Malaysian blame Ringgit, jacket man blame AMD.

Why is it still that expensive though? The 2nd hand price should be around 1.3k imo. Try find out if it's a mining card so you can low ball harder.
