Modules that has fairly high success rate of being OC'd to 3600mhz (widely available in Msia) -
G.Skill Trident Z/Royal/RGB - 16GTZR(X)* Corsair Dominator Platinum - CMD16GX4M2B3000C15 *note There is a specific Ryzen module for G.Skill, but there are enough success reports claiming that the regular non Ryzen modules works too. |

Navi oh Navi, too bad my wallet is always empty.
60% power for -7% performance is pretty crazy, better than Pascal imo. ![]() |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 19 2019, 08:54 PM) those guys doing those high voltage on 5700xt must be using water. so dat table just now. the dude on water only have sustain clocks like that aka 40% reduction in power but only -7% loss in performance. also like my friends card his nvr goes above 70c in no ac etc and in some stupid nzxt casing. clocks min stays arnd 18xx and burst higher. luck of the draw. his from asus. stock voltage etc. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jul 19 2019, 11:06 PM |

Stock voltage is like 1.15v right? so dat table just now. the dude on water only have sustain clocks like that aka 40% reduction in power but only -7% loss in performance. also like my friends card his nvr goes above 70c in no ac etc and in some stupid nzxt casing. clocks min stays arnd 18xx and burst higher. luck of the draw. his from asus. stock voltage etc. He is on stock cooler but his ambient temp was like 10c-15c |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jul 19 2019, 08:07 PM) pretty sure u need latency which aint gonna fly with just any normal ram. Depends on what you're doing with it, some tests / games do see immediate boost in performance from 3200 to higher frequency even with unchanged CL. In the end 3200 to 3200 based on calculation using same CL does still improve in latency. |

In the end 3266 CL14 takes the crown, at least from my sets of tests. In less memory subsystem reliant works then there's practically no difference in any of them. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jul 23 2019, 12:15 AM) tighter timings is always better Yes, ideally it's that way but some benchmarks like Cinebench do show 3600 CL16 having slight edge over 3266 CL14.That's why it took me quite a while to test out various software and settings to find out where does the tighter timing settings shine over the other. |

For benchmark scores I assume speed is more important than latency but those tight rams are pricey for a budget conscious gamer lolThat's why it took me quite a while to test out various software and settings to find out where does the tighter timing settings shine over the other. |

Does anyone have the reference RX5700? My HD 7950 gave up the ghost today and I'm considering upgrading to a reference RX5700 as I'm using a small form factor case
