The clean simple front which is divided into the upper display part and the keypad portion, using different colours which gives a kind of "slider" phone feel.

user posted image
Simplicity design is applied on the back as well. The camera lense with the speakers at the side which some how reminds me of N91. Self portrait mirror is adsent.

user posted image
On/Off button is located on the top. It has nice feedback when pressed.

user posted image
Mini usb jack with rubber cover, 2.5mm earphone jack and the charger slot.

user posted image
2 MP Camera, its the average 2MP like every other nokia.
The speaker is loud enough even in noisy environment.
The sound quality is same with my 5300 Xpress Music, u can hear the presense of the bass.

user posted image
Nothing on this side, just the LED light

user posted image
The Volume rocker is located at the right together with another LED light

The protruding keypad is very responsive and it gives a very nice tactile feedback.
Great for heavy sms users..
And it lights up in blue which blends well with the default Nokia theme.

user posted image
The LED light at each side LIGHTS UP to inform user on missed call/sms. Very useful.

As u can see here, the little scratches are made by ME. Yes.
When u remove the cover too regular, THAT will happen.
And u can even see black little paint on the stainless steel cover itself.
So, future 6300 users, take note on that.

user posted image
It took me a while to find the memory card slot...
Support up to 2GB microSD.

user posted image
The Dpad is very easy to deal with. NO prob here.
Its a finger print magnet from the back to the front..

user posted image
The pouch comes in the package which is nice but hard to use..
i tried putting in the 6300 and i need to PULL very hard to take it out..
I guess i need to put something in to expand the size a little.

Its the current slimmest Nokia

A short video on the UI

I like :

smile.gif what else? the slimness/design of course

smile.gif The built quality of 6300 is thumbup.gif. Nothing is loose, the battery cover is tightly shut, no squeaky sound or anything. I can even break my 6288 into half with 6300.

smile.gif Keypads are nice to press.Very responsive with nice tacticle feedback.

Dont like:

sad.gif The battery cover is kinda hard to remove/close sometimes.
sad.gif The phone especially the earpiece area gets warm during long conversation (>30 minutes)

Nice close up views on the mobile. Just got few questions

1) Price on this phone?
2) Will the phone feel hot with the stainless steel back?
3) Are the buttons easy to key in?

I know you might've just gotten it so not enough time to play around. Do let us know once you've tested it. Thx alot...!  biggrin.gif

dude, all the questions are answered in my review already..
obviously u didnt even read my review.. tongue.gif

Heheee... It's good though, with the different angles and close-ups.

Added on February 6, 2007, 7:06 pmIt's that a quick-key silent mode for the # button I see there?
*
yeah..same as the 5300. i think the all the newer Nokias has that quick button.

5300, 7390, 6300..but not 6288.

QUOTE(blinky @ Feb 8 2007, 02:42 PM)
Rayzrblade, when someone calls me, the ringing of my 6300 is going from soft then loud. It's not ascending, but a sudden burst of loudness after like 5 seconds of soft ringing. Are you experiencing the same 'problem'?

Not too sure if it's a problem or it's Nokia's intention to not shock the user when a call comes in.
*
QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Feb 8 2007, 03:35 PM)
hey i have the similar problem in N 6233 too!
yahyah, it is not 'ascending', it is under 'ringtone',
kind of annoying as the sound will suddenly burst to very loud
i set the ringtone volumn at 4 level only.
*
Mine doesnt ring the way u mentioned..the volume remains when ringing..no sudden burst of loudness..
so now its either mine got problem or both of ur phone got problem.. hmm.gif

ermm is 6300 is more worthy and better than 6233? can't decide which one to buy this weekend... icon_question.gif
*
then its totally up to which design u like ...
been using 6300 for 2 days, its a good phone, fits just right in my palm unlike my Slvr L7. The crisp and bright screen, makes me wanna say "wow" whenever i use it.
Other than the phone warm up during long calls..everything else is all good.

QUOTE(supazta @ Feb 8 2007, 07:51 PM)
thanks for the pics.
btw, the headset comes with vol control?
can skip songs also from the 'remote'?
i asked the shop just now but they were very reluctant to show me the whole package.

*dissapointed
*
skip songs - yes.
volume control - no.

quick feedback here... i absolutely love the phone.  From the feel of it to it's ease of use.  To me it seems like a phone that's designed for an experience as opposed to a purely practical viewpoint (which it handles fantastically).

There is only one thing that has frustrated me so far.  It ma y sound lame... but i have yet to work out how to openup the mini USB cover.  Can anyone help me out here?
*
dont cut ur fingernails for few days and use it to open it. biggrin.gif i just tried opening mine. its pretty easy.

I find tat the LED blinked twice and stop. No more light. Is it the correct behavior? Will the LED blink again if I leave the phone as it is?

Btw, who has good method to remove the "scratches" on the stainless steel back cover falling short of polishing it? smile.gif
*
it will blinks periodically until u read the misscall/msg.

alrite. understood.

i find it strange. no one complains about how easily (or badly) the casing can be scratched tongue.gif maybe it is a norm to most... this is the 1st time i used a phone with steel casing smile.gif
*
bcos since day one i already use a screen protecter for the back of the phone + a pouch.. biggrin.gif
