Hi all, just wanted to share with u all to beware of this shop located in The Min*s in seri kembangan.. the shop name is Camwo*ld.. at ground floor..

Recently I have bought my GoPro hero 5 at this shop.. along with the accessories (a selfie stick and a SanDisk card). Total they charged me RM2.5k. 1850 for the GoPro, 350 for the selfie stick and 300 for a 64gb 80mb SD card. I was dumb enough to purchase at these prices as I do not do any research or survey about the prices before purchasing.

Day after I have purchased and sharing with my friends only I realized I was charged at a higher price than the market price which the selfie stick is priced at 229 at funzsport website and the sd card is only around RM100 or even lower.

So I have message to their website, believe it is managed by their HQ? They requested me to give them my contact details and I received the call from the shop which I bought the items from. The staff claimed that they have give the wrong sd card to me, they suppose to give me a better one (64gb extreme pro) and also free me a casing. Requested them to refund money but they said cannot as already key in to the system, so what they can offer is to choose other items to match off the price differences (RM301). So no choice I only can choose other items which I do not need it now actually.

Approached the HQ again to ask but no reply from them anymore.

So everyone please be extra careful when shop at this shop..

you can't blame the shop for selling items at higher price since you are the one who choose to buy them. just remember to do homework next time before buying new gadgets.

Im incline to say your fault for not checking rather than the shopkeeper but they also partly to blame for providing wrong product. But not like they try to cheat you, at least they did admit mistake and compensate.

True...no crime here for this camera shop. Willing buyer willing seller although it was steep.
They made an attempt to compensate you by offering anything you wish to contra at the shop for the difference.

Thats why I got mine online from 11street and got voucher to get it cheaper. The sellers are reliable. If not satisfied, just launch a complain and their team will respond.
I got my gopro from 11street last time and my accessory . It's international but the shipping wait is still worth it. http://www.11street.my/

Dig*t*l mall too.. bought a headphones there for x1.8 of normal price, (didnt do homework) feel sad. But life goes on, willing buyer, willing seller.

Physical shops need to pay rent etc.

Worse, I don't understand how you can check process but don't bother checking earlier?

Or you have an issue buying online, so you blackmail the shop into giving you a better price/compensation?

Sad to say .. its true. You didnt do your homework first.. any yes, physical shops do have overhead costs to cover. So i would say its entirely your fault. Shops can put whatever price they want.. if you dont like, dont buy and choose another shop..or buy online if you like.

Normally if you purchase micro sd cards, don't accept the face value. You can almost always negotiate the price. But as the others have said, do your survey and market price online first.

I just bought a GoPro Hero5 at SenQ at $1849. I know I can probably get it cheaper online, but I'd willing to pay the extra for getting the product intact. As for the micro sd, since I know SenQ doesn't negotiate price, I went to Fotokem outlet nearby and ask for assistance. The shop assistant was very helpful with my gopro even though it wasn't purchased from his shop, and helped set up everything from the battery, the startup, the settings, the registtration and the apps manual in my phone.

From then, I decided to buy a few accessories from him and asked him the best micro sd for my gopro. He told me to get the sandisk extreme which is the most expensive, but also reason out why. For me, a salesperson who went the extra mile to teach me about product shows that he knows about the thing and has genuine interest. The initial price he showed me was pretty much around RM390 for a 64gb card. Instead I opted for 2x 32gb micro sd extreme which he gave me a discount of RM180 each, but then again went down to RM160. So yea, its still probably cheaper than online, but at least I know its a genuine product and from a really genuine seller. win-win.
