My very cacat way. Not the kheng way. Autoconnect I'm using the ZTE modem from streamyx. The autodialer is set in the modem itself, not on the Broadband Dialer settings on Windows. Your ADSL modem would probably be the same i.e. needs to be configure in the modem itself, not via windows. Getting fast IP I've not set the IP, just redialing until I get an IP that I know that will work. You probably have to check the first 2 parts of an IP address e.g. 234.23.*.* . First set of 3 number is not useful as those are designated for specific country providers. |

QUOTE(Krovaxq @ Feb 7 2007, 02:02 PM) myremi, may i know how u spamming reconnect button via router modem? do u simply pull the plug in n out? or using the webbie config, connect n disconnect? im so pissed ;( Errr...depending on your modem brand. If you're using the ZTE 831 modem from TMNet, there are 2 different software versions that you'll see. Other modems, I can't help you. Not familiar wiht them but you could try the Network sub-forum.1. Set up your ADSL modem to function as a router, not as a modem i.e. it will autodial if your existing line drops. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=10220296 Goto your browser and key in your router IP (to check, goto Start --> Network --> LAN Connections (I think it's called that) --> Rightclick for Properties, it's the Default IP that is the Router IP). Inside there is a place for you to key in your UserID + Password. Note : when keying userID, remember to key in "@streamyx" at the end else you cannot connect on. 2. To get to a fast line. Manually dialing up using Broadband Dialer from windows. I disconnect and reconnect until I know the line I'm on is fast. 3. HOw do I know the line is fast? Connect. Check IP. Try to play WoW. If cannot, disconnect and reconnect. Check IP to see what it is. Try to play WoW. Repeat if slow connection. Once you're on a fast line, stay on it. I leave my PC running the whole day just so that I'm still on that line. |
