Bigpay counted as online, so yes you will get RM 85 cash back

Yes, I confirm this should be OK based on my monthly spending using BP to fulfil the online portion.

If I swipe rm2.5k JOP card online today will I get RM85 on the spot?
*
No. And no CB card (as far as I'm aware) gives you on the spot.

85 is calculated on a monthly basis. You have to redeem online in the next month at a random date. Usually in 2nd to 3rd week. Read previous posts to get an idea of when the CB is released.

calculate monthly basis. Today is the end of the month. I thought spend right now can redeem in the spot. Not like that?
*
No. It is like how I explained in my post.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 30 2018, 11:29 PM)
So meaning to say annual fee (if any) is charged the moment you get the card?

Example if I apply and receive a new card that has annual fee this month, I will be charged the annual fee when I get the card for Sept 2018 until Sept 2019?

Never had any other card that charged the moment I received the card so no experience on this.
*
Technically yes, but nearly every single bank waives the first year in order to attract customers, hence why you've never been charged. That's what they mean by first year waiver.

The second year fee is chargeable when you start your second year of usage... So that's where you're currently at.

My usual way is to buy chewing gum / sweets x3 at supermarket. Cashier always gives me funny look... But free ride!

But still malu la. blush.gif

Lol. I am thick skinned wherever I go, even in Malaysia.

One other trick I always do is to swipe 6x chewing gum when I am in a developed country (where CC is widely accepted). 1 free ride will be used for that trip, and the 2nd free ride for another trip (within one month of the swipes). I feel its harder to get "low value" swipes in less developed countries, so I will usually swipe 2 sets when travelling to a developed country in case I travel to a less developed one within the next month.

I'm telling you, you are really milking this privilege to the max. laugh.gif
My last trip to China, lower tier province - Guangxi. I had no chance to swipe my card at all because they don't accept foreign card... So I paid for Grab to go back home from KLIA2. doh.gif
*
Yes that was a problem I encountered in Vietnam hence my new strategy. Since swipes are such low value, there is no real loss if second set isn't used.

The only issue is that SCB has "one time per calendar month" limitation so it's only good if your timing of second trip is in next month. I have Citibank Premier miles too (same 3x swipe rule) but no calendar month limit so that's even easier.

I'm not too sure. Maybe lilsunflower can advise because she surely uses this privilege more often than I do.
For my case was I rode in early of the month and got it by mid of following month.
*
Random - but in my experience it takes anywhere between 3-6 weeks on some random date.

SCB is very random... Like their cashback for JOP and Plat and their previous Uber promo. You will suddenly see CB when you lease expect it.

2. No issue for me to pay with IBFT from MBB on due date. All went through.

3. Late charges of RM 10 can be waived but not interests, they are strict with this. But then again, waiver is not an obligation from the banks as it's users' fault for not paying on time.
*
Quick question:

I did a MBB IBFT on Saturday 27 October 11.30pm to SCB CC. But today (Mon 29 October), it still hasn't been reflected in my SCB transaction history.

Is this normal? My due date is today, and I'm wondering if I should do another IBFT (before midnight), or if SCB system is just slow in updating.

IBFT should be immediate and it should show on 28 October in ur transaction history.. have u check whether ur credit limit increased by the amount u paid?
*
It's still not showing in my transaction history, BUT, its reflected in my CL!

So - I paid RM1,600 on 27 October

And because I was so paranoid, I just paid ANOTHER RM1,600 (29 October)

Now my CL shows an overpayment of RM1,600 (i.e. my available limit is higher than my total approved limit), which I guess means both payments have been captured. confused.gif

Yeah, normally I will check CL since SCB posting is late.. but, ur case is so late, my payment will normally shown up next day even txn date will be appear as the day I paid..
*
Thanks for the CL tip! I should have thought of that myself.

This is the first time I paid so close to the due date, and I started freaking out when I realised it hadn't been posted. But next time I'll use the CL check for assurance.

Thanks again smile.gif

Yup, I make a call after submitted the replacement request.

And apparently, CS Team has no idea what I'm talking about the new design card.
but they will come back to me once get confirmation.
I was requesting to get a new rebrand card for my SCB Gold Card.

However, noticed the card only available from 12 Nov 2018 which is next Monday, not sure what card will be replacing to me.

I am tempted to click replace too but scared they send an old design card. Hope yours turns out OK!

Saw the rebranded LFC card has been reflected on my SCB online banking now. Also just submitted a service request to replace the card.

I love SCB's service request tracker. I can see the status of my Live Chat requests too, including details. Btw, check out the screenshot. I asked for SST "rebate", but they call it a "fee waiver".

Hi, can check the waiver you requested, is for card that approved before or after September 2018?
*
I didn't request for a "waiver". I've had their card for a few years already and asked if they could consider giving me a rebate to offset the SST, considering my high annual spending. They asked me to submit one month payslip.

Did they say how much considered high annual spending? I'm spending around 200k per annum, is that considered high to get a rebate?
*
Best to ask them since these are discretionary and can vary from case to case.
