QUOTE(CP88 @ Mar 4 2017, 01:20 PM) Yes HR but HR is not all about recruitment. I'm here for projects, not recruitment projects. I will be here for a month, luckily got this card on time. This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 4 2017, 01:22 PM |

SCB cards are good but the AF is pretty hefty to pay.
Though my sis claims that she hasn't been charged with AF all these years for her SCB CB Gold, I just want to prepare ourselves on this, how easy to waive the AF? I'm quite interested with the JustOne card but the AF is pretty high. Any old timers care to shed some lights in this matter? |

QUOTE(fly126 @ Mar 7 2017, 08:03 AM) QUOTE(enriquelee @ Mar 7 2017, 10:57 AM) Never paid they AF before for the pass 10 years. Great information. Thanks! Just need to call them to waive. Ya, the only problem is need to call them up. I ask them before why need to call to waive so troublesome since every time i call also get waiver straight away. They reply to me is "Sir, there are many people never call to waive." So, I can spend like normal and no need to avoid spending before AF is charged right? |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Mar 7 2017, 03:32 PM) Member since 2012 and never paid anything. They used to charge me AF and I had to call to get it waived. Initial years they even gave $$ to retain. Yeah, my sister mentioned the same thing too, already having their card for at least 7 years but no AF has been charged so far.Last year, my AF didn't even appear in the statement at all |

QUOTE(owj @ Mar 15 2017, 03:22 AM) Cant seem to find the annual fee from Std Chartered website for this card. Is 1st year free and how much for subsequent year? Any conditions to get waiver? It's on the first post. ![]() The seasoned users said it's easy to waive. My sister has been using SCB card for long long time, at least 7 years by now, very low usage (sometimes only once a year) but never got charged with AF since day 1. She's using SCB Cash Back Gold. |

QUOTE(Vio @ Mar 16 2017, 12:53 PM) can any sifus here kindly direct me as in where to check the criteria for the card? tried referring to their website but cant find any. If no criteria mentioned means there is no AF waiver condition. You have to pay for it when the time comes or get bank to waive for you (their discretion). So far SCB is pretty lenient when it comes to AF waiver.also would like to ask if i were to spend like Rm100 on 1st march 2017 and i pay off the RM100 by 1st april 2017 will i be charged any interest? so sorry for asking as i dont really understand how it works Just pay statement balance before due date, it will be OK. Statement date varies accordingly and due date is statement date + 20 days. |

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Mar 22 2017, 05:38 PM) Doomed. 0 Bonus points available. I am a supplementary card holder and both principal and supplementary have 0 points. My principal card didn't spend anything. So burnt for my case? We checked with SCB before and supplementary card is entitled for cash back too but needs to be redeemed by principal. Why 0 then? Just to confirm for Feb cash back right? This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 22 2017, 06:01 PM |

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Mar 22 2017, 06:02 PM) it will always show 0 points, you need to click the "redeem reward now" which navigate to another page. Oh, I thought will show points before I can redeem. Terkejut I. you will see the cashback amount there for you to redeem Can redeem already but unfortunately it only shows my principal card, so I think it will be credited to my principal... Looks like my sis has to call SCB soon to transfer to my card. Anyway, still no Uber cash back for last month right? I hope supplementary card enjoys this rebate too. Can't wait to apply for my own card... This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 22 2017, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(digitalcode @ Mar 22 2017, 11:20 PM) they actually allow you to use those cashback points to buy things off their rewards catalogue, etc. Well, both of us were referring to cash back (monetary). Anyway, I'm not interested in buying stuff, not sure about MrLoo. This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 22 2017, 11:26 PM |

Just for knowledge sharing...
Principal can transfer points to supplementary before do redemption but it will charge RM 10 per transfer. Uber cash back is also applicable to supplementary cards. Again cash back goes to principal and have to call CS to transfer to supp. I really can't wait to have my own principal card. |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Mar 27 2017, 01:03 AM) Nicely done! Do you switch card once it hit RM 300 of Uber spending? I only used once in Malaysia from my house to airport and the rest all in India. Perfect timing for me. Mine only 6 bucks For my case, I thought I won't max out RM 300 but I calculated that day, I already exceeded. So just let it use my excess credit (BT from Maybank, requested higher amount) and last month's cash back. |
