+ i got RM800 when apply, so earn already rclxms.gif

That's for the Liverpool (Clause 3.2 page 4), right ?

In Simply CCB doesn't mention exclude (Clause 2.15)
*
yup. i see retail also not state exclude ewallet or online.
for SC Simply.
so should consider reload ewallet still retails
Only no more ewallet cashback RM20
so maks only RM40 (Grocery&Dinning and Petrol)

For Liverpool. yes
(l) E-Wallet related transactions under MCC 6540
& 4784.

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to terminate my SC Simply Cash credit card, but I currently have only RM28 in cashback, which I can’t redeem (minimum RM30 required). Should I terminate it now, or would it be better to wait until I earn this month’s cashback to reach RM30 and redeem it first?

Appreciate your advice!
*
Wouldn't they return the 28 balance to u once terminate card?

No, because that balance isn't card balance until you claim it and they block claiming except in multiples of 30. Yet another way for SCB to whack customers, last few years non stop this sort of thing, surprised still got people use their cards.

totally agreed.
min amt 30 and somemore need to be in multiple of exact 30, no more no less doh.gif doh.gif

imagine if you miscount and only gotten, say RM59.xx, you are only able to redeem RM30 that month doh.gif doh.gif

i cancelled my card since they implement this kind of funny t&c.
most other bank cb is straightforward and credit directly into your statement, only thing differ is some bank direct deduct cb from current statement balance while some deduct in next statement balance.

but no 1 single bank having this kind of hassle to claim cb.

This is how the SC limits the cb redemption.

initial few round yes, offering RM50/RM100 cb on X times spend.
it's a girl and she can even recognize me and say
Mr xxx, you want to cancel the cc again, and she tell me its the same offer as last round and so i gladly accepted it. whistling.gif

but no call on the final round where i terminated all my sc cards.
could be the entire team disbanded already? hmm.gif

Oh no I missed out that I have been charged annual fee and I continued to use the card.
I have never been able to request waiver thru app in the past and always had to contact the bank.
If they refused to waive the annual fee and I cancelled the card can I get the annual fee pro-rated?

My annual fee and SST was charged in my Dec/Jan statement.

I also used the card after that, 2 transactions in Jan/Feb statement. Requested for AF waiver before Jan/Feb statement which was declined and then requested card cancellation after Jan/Feb statement.

Settled card balance and EPPs.

Refund of the RM250 AF which appeared in February/Mar statement along with the separate case of missing Nov & Dec cashback. RM25 SST refunded a bit later so should be in Mar/Apr statement.

Card cancellation scheduled to complete in a few days time.

*no calls from SCB from start to finish.

They also paid my GST before cancelling the card. No usage after GST was billed. No calls. I didn't bother to reinstate because Annual Fee comes next and i dont want to go through the process again.

Actually they refunded the RM25 SST also. I only mentioned AF in my msgs to them but it seems they did both. So total RM275 refunded. Only thing rugi is the RM8 cashback stuck in rewards which I didn't mention at all in my msgs. The missing cashback from Nov & Dec was credited straight to the card.

Looks like many r giving up Simply Cash card which is the most rewarding SCB cc. Indeed it is no longer attractive with lower 1.6% (40/2500) cb. My AF will be charged in May so time to consider cancelling it too.

Already got uob1 & RHBshell.
As I have retired so no longer can apply CIMB PETRONAS VisaInfinite card, hardly use my eCard now that Kiple charges 1% reload fee, and CIMB doesnt allow to switching card without documentatoin.

Oh nice thanks for the information. Did you specifically ask for the AF to be refunded or they just did it for you automatically?
