Hello, I have SC visa platinum cc. I am curious what is the definition of online spending in order to entitled for 5k reward points if spend min RM1.5k per billing cycle? Is it include all transactions that I made with the card? Such as utility, ewallet reload etc?

Stated was ewallet reload, online retails should have, not confirm for utilities, telco, and gov.

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to terminate my SC Simply Cash credit card, but I currently have only RM28 in cashback, which I can’t redeem (minimum RM30 required). Should I terminate it now, or would it be better to wait until I earn this month’s cashback to reach RM30 and redeem it first?

Appreciate your advice!

Bye bye soon. It's AF time and SCB said no to my request for waiver so have requested for CC cancelation. Already settled the balance, now waiting to redeem(?) the balance of the 0% installment. RM8 stuck in rewards. sad.gif

seemed like they deliberately not to give AF waiver this round.
in line with their increase of min annual salary to b eligible for their credit card to b 96k.

why does it feel the bank's customer support has deteriorated?
I can't seem to talk to an actual live person about my statement.

RM 28 not RM 2. He has RM 28 now but it requires min RM 30 to withdraw.

Good day everyone.

I was charged late payment and interest for my previous statement payment.

Due date is 2nd January. I made direct transfer from maybank on that date 11.30pm +/-. (Transaction date 2/1/25, posting date 3/1/25)

Tried to call and request for waiver, request created but rejected.

May i know why i was being charged late payment even i paid on that date. Is there any other way that i can do to waive those late charges?

Thank you

Yesterday was my credit card due date and I paid at night which I always do. The only difference is I usually pay at 8.30pm and last night I paid at 9.40pm. Today I checked and I got charged with late payment charges. I chatted with CS and she sent in waiver for me and subject to approval. I told her my payment is within due date and she said there’s a cutoff in their system. I find it ridiculous to penalize customers for this when we still pay within the due date.

I actually suspected something because usually I will receive SMS and email within half an hour after my payment was made but not yesterday. I only received them at 2am. Anyway, it’s not a big deal for me but it’s something SCB should look into.

How can you talk to their CS?I’ve tried so many times, but I keep getting stuck in loops and don’t know which number to press to speak to someone.

Try to get a land-line to call. You'll get new option, option 6 - new to standard chartered. Choose that, someone will speak with you

If you’re 2 months late on a payment, does that mean you get charged interest every month? Can you still request a waiver for the interest, even if the late payment is your own fault?
