For those coming from 6s plus. Can you advise on the performance improvement for 7+ over the 6s+?
Is it worth the upgrade?
Note that I'm asking purely on performance, not camera or the stereo sound etc

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 7 2016, 09:33 PM) We all know the 6s+ to be a very capable and slick phone. But to compare it with the 7+ which has a better processor and an extra 1Gb of ram, I would say the 7 Plus is significantly smoother and slicker than the 6S+. I could straightaway tell the difference after I started using my 7 plus even though both are on the same version of Ios. Opening and closing of apps are quicker marginally. i could leave more apps running in the background. And of course, the new home button with its haltic feedback does feel a lot nicer. Thanks for the feedback bro. As mentioned I'm only considering the performance. I already have a DSLR so cam is secondary. Water proof... yeah, in case you are not already aware, the 6s is also kinda waterproof (googled it Camera is much better. Waterproof is a neccesity now. My main complain on this phone would be the same boring design from iphone 6 era till now. To me, Apple has just become to complacent to bother. The jet black colour made me upgrade. Damn Apple! So as a matter of having apps opening and closing faster, and better multi tasking then it might not worth to fork out 1k+ to upgrade it. Any other forummer can comment? Thanks! QUOTE(vez @ Nov 7 2016, 10:03 PM) the clue is on 6S/6S+ box, coi fish I think you are jumping to conclusion. So far I have only answer to one forummer and as I mentioned, I am asking for performance difference only. I didn't counter anything irrelevant to my original query.the A10 perform much much faster if you have "extra" money, upgrade, if not, wait next year anything people mentioned 7/7+ is better you trying to counter it back, how can you compare a DSLR cam to phone? thats nth to compare... well, you have a phone now, continue using it... no need upgrade In a way your blunt answer is right, although your 'A10 perform much much faster' statement didn't offer any constructive example to support them. Anyway, thanks for your feedback. Decision made. |

QUOTE(yclam5729 @ Nov 8 2016, 09:24 AM) Let's me share my thought why I upgrade iPhone every year since 9 years shop from iPhone 2G. Everytime new iOS out, older phone definitely will not be as fast the flagship phone for sure, if you are particular user like myself who really care about performance yes you wanna update. Besides even you pay for 1k+more to upgrade your 7 will worth 1k more than 6s in a year later. Most important the new phone has another year warranty from Apple but your existing may not. That's my justification to upgrade yearly. Agreed. Have been using iphone since iPhone 3g. The catch is do not upgrade the next version ios then you'll be fine. Once you do it won't be as smooth or performing optimally thus you feel the urge to upgrade to the next iPhone. |
