Hi , gratz to u , btw I thought once you joined slb, they will send you out for training or courses etc for around 6 months ? and you are required to pass the exam (grade at least > 80%) , before you will be confirmed as their employee ?

What I thought is just apply thru their website and they will find out where you are from and locate you accordingly ?

look at the bright side,at least you are not stuck in one of the lowest paying segment in oil and gas industry if you managed to secure the mud logging position.Try again next time and try to get the high profile position such as wireline or mwd FE.

Hi just wondering you get to choose whether you wanted to be in wireline / mwd or other segment for FE ? Or they will assigned for you which segment you going to join after you successfully passed the interview, cause i see mostly they only mentioned grad field engineer , nothing specific.
Thanks

you can tell them your preference, but there is no guarantee you can get it though.it depends on availability and business needs at that time
