Hmm, perhaps she had years of experience in an O&G company before joining SLB? Or I might be wrong then.

She joined SBC straight after graduating from LSE. However, they did advised that they are looking for people with engineering experience. One of my friend who has a degree in Theoretical Physics was also called for interview.

I agree with you, they did warn me that the career path that I am choosing would be different from the engineering graduates if I proceed with SBC. Through out the hiring process I can see that they really want the best for their team, I failed to edge the rest of applicants out.
They hardly hire fresh grad for consultant role. You need to have experience before you can provide solution, consultancy and advice to people in this field.  All in all, it was a great session, I will try again next time when I afford to offer my expertise to SBC.
best of luck to everyone.
P/S: and the hiring process for SBC is officially close as what my Personnel Representative informed me in the email.

Does anyone know how the Petrotechnical Graduate Program in SLB is scheduled? As I understood from their homepage there will be some travelling and working abroad. I would be glad if someone could give me some information on how long each module and rotations lasts and where you`ll be sent. How often will you stay at the home base? Does the program include management?

Hi,maybe you can go to SLB career webpage to get detail job descriptions,as far as I know for wireline segment maintenance tech, also sometime go to offshore (electronic tech),pay?quite good.....u start with Grade 7,(basic + OT+etc..),when breakout to Grade 8 (no OT anymore),anyway SLB provides good training to their employees...but be ready to work long hours,in the end it really worth

I heard about this company before, merger of SLB and Smith International.
and I was wondering how to apply to these subsidiary companies of SLB? I was selected for the intvw before for SBC but failed at the 2nd round and my resume is being kept in the SLB database for a year. I want to seek opportunities from the other companies under SLB without having to go through the SLB websites as I said my resume is put on hold there.

I am interested to join OneSubsea ( cameron-slb joinventure ). ( applied and heard response but geographically they prefer someone not in Asia)
also WesternGeco ( the warehouse in penang).
and also DrillCO.

anyone can help? sad.gif

salary is confidential mate...

it's shift work.. basically we manage and monitor schlumberger's global network... while the main job scope will be WAN related incidents, however we also handle firewalls, servers and whole bunch over other things as well.

it's a very interesting job to say the least..
saksob : I'll be off on thursday morn shift, good luck if you're going for an interview
