Looking forward to change them donuts to v12 evo2... anyone knows where to get them them at a good price?

I buy my set of 195/55/15 at pj for rm172.
Around Shah Alam can get for rm165 for the same size.

Not sure what size you're looking for but this can give you a rough estimation of the prices for your size.

between this and potenza re003, which 1 is better for cornering?

right now cant decide to get this in 225/45 or re003 in 215/45
for 17inch (preve), will the 4inch extra inch make difference lol

If cornering in dry condition, potenza.
If cornering in wet conditions, ventus v12

Just get the ventus bro. It's the better all rounder tyre. This is my opinion la.

And yes, the 4 extra inch will make a difference. Most people will say they can't feel it. But when it comes to things like suspension and tyres, even 1 inch can make a difference. This is what my tyre guy told me la.

You'll have a wider road contact patch, which can give better stability and grip. The downside is increased fuel consumption and probably more chance to aquaplane if you're careless in the wet.

Actually, what's the recommended tyre pressure for 195/55/15? Some shops pump 33 psi, some 32. And, higher psi or lower psi gives better grip?

always start with the baseline set by manufacturer recommendation, after all, they spent many millions on every aspect of the car engineering, so assume they know best when coming out with this set of tyre pressure numbers.

After that you try +/- the pressure to your taste. Personally, i pump close to the maximum recommended pressure range (full load). Got a very little bit of extra fuel economy on higher pressures.

The baseline set manufacturer was for 14 inch. I upsized to 15 inch now that's why a little confused haha.

Wouldn't the ride be harder and less grippy if you pump to the max recommended pressure range?

I really wonder how you guys pump >35 psi and be fine with it. I mean even at 33PSI, I can feel its a bit too bumpy for my liking. I usually left mine at 32PSI (regardless of size, 195/55/15, 205/45/17, 215/55/17) and it feel just nice. I know many tyre shop will pump more hence thats why I will visit petrol station to find air pump after changing tyre. There was once the stupid technician at Honda who pumped my mom CRV with 40PSI. Fuck, it was literally like riding a horse when going over yellow lines.

Same!! I tried 34/33 and I didn't like it. I moved back to 32psi haha.

Just to give you guys some idea about the 320 treadwear. Here is my usage over 40k+ km.

- Rotate every 10k km (front to back vice versa)
- Every month outstation twice, 50% highway, 50% B roads with uneven surfaces, potholes
- Daily driven, 80% city 20% highway

Front sets changed on Aug 2018
Rear sets changed on Jan 2018

Noticed the chipping circled in red. No sure whether is caused by uneven road or tyre compound too soft??  you guys faced this?

Has the grip levels reduced drastically as the tyres wear out?

Nop, wet and dry grip still very good. High speed cornering has little to no understeer. Steering still felt sharp and precise. ESC does not trigger at all on the same stretch of road after switching to V12E2 from Falken 912/914 and could even carry a higher speed. The Falken will trigger ESC whether on dry or wet.

1 thing I encountered was aquaplane. Last week was doing a long left turn at around 80-90kmh with heavy downpour. I felt the car 'lifted' for like half a second on the right side. ESC does not trigger. Scare me a little cuz steering had no road feedback at that moment but then it regains traction immediately. Gotta avoid puddles.

I've been avoiding water puddles ever since my conti cc6 days haha.

Thank for the feedback. Appreciate it very much.
