Hi Evangtee,
You have a good start by contacting Bensabella (as per my finding)Bensabella are been highly recommended by the old time Sifu in this forum. If not mistaken their GSD are from show line. Made sure that you find/invest in a good dog kennel/farm because this GSD breed popular with hip dyslasia (HD). Do you mind to share Bensabella contact number? you can PM me. Thanks.

I know a farm/kennel in Bukit Beruntung. Maybe you can try there. Good breeds of gsd. One of the females just littered. Can check them out too. Just offering my opinion. Cheers.

Hi Drd,
Do you mind to share your little GSD pic.?hihihi.. I also one of the GSD lover. I think they are the most intelligent dog (personal opinion), I used to walk and jog with my housing area security's GSD. He never walk on leash before but after 10 minute he can master it. After "Pantang" period don't forget to walk your dog to drain out his energy.

Thanks you so much for the number. Have you made your decision where to get your puppy? Having puppy just like you have small baby. You need to dedicate a lot of your personal time.

I think DishWater has cover generally what is HD. Not only GSD (neither working line nor show line) have this kind of problem Siberian Husky or Rottweiler facing the same problem. So better we get puppy from a good breeder.

hi there..i have not snapped pictures of her yet..will definitely put her pic up soon..and she not yet "pantang"..haven't turned puberty yet.. :D  :D

I think you got different meaning of "Pantang". Correct me if I wrong, normally pup that haven't get their 3rd inject, they would aloud the pup go out from their yard. Actually I not really believe because I came from Kampung, last time my dad just lepas like that only his GSD pups. I do consult my Vet.it is this pantang are true, he said can be true because got a lot of bacteria and virus on the road and grass that will harm the puppy.

For the new parent of GSD, I have a good book from Cesar Millan name How to raise the perfect dog- through puppyhood and beyond. I get the book from MPH Rm71.90(price can be differ depend on the currency because the seller help me to booked and ship it from over sea).
By the way, why do you choose GSD over other breed of dog? Share your story so that we will have some topic to heat up this room.

Is it a good idea to get a showline cross with a working line?
Generally speaking, what is the best prevention against hip dysplasia?
So far, none of the private people (3 persons with working line) we visited were interested in showing health certificates although they advertised they had. Only one shop did. But that pup is now 11 months old.

These are latest contenders.  We certainly not going to rush as it is going to be part of our family pack.  A new baby?
They range from rm2500 to rm4000
I have not included Bensabelle puppies as they told me a new batch is coming soon.

The best way to prevent HD is to stop breed those dog with HD disease. If not mistaken got a supplement that can help those dog that diagnose with HD but it don't cure it until the dog going for operation (1 of the forum member in this thread bring his dog for operation).. I don't know where all the Otai/sifu/Guru gone..
If you can wait for more time I think by January or February will have a lot of puppies for sell due to started from last month mostly dog all are on heat and this quarter are their mating season.
Erm is a good question what will happen if we mate those working line and show line????

Ceser Milan, bless his heart, is what many consider an 'old school' trainer. Many of the ideas he has are considered outdated - dogs don't see their human masters as the leader of the pack, for one thing. There's a whole new school of thought when it comes to training dogs nowadays - read up on positive reinforcement.

I think some of his method are still OK and acceptable like if you are moderate family and working time is 8AM to 5PM, look for medium energy dog which is the follower to suit your style. On the book that I have mentioned he do teach how to see puppy behavior are high energy, medium energy and low energy (I didn't get anything from promote his book hihihi biggrin.gif ) Plus for the middle income family like me, we not yet affordable to register for the training. The cheapest way is go threw reading, watching, try and error.

If not buy from pet shop or breeder then get from where?

the ones i seen in june with parents are from pahang from indian breeder. the rest all don't have.

the pahang man have a batch of puppies and very big space for them to play.
he got show and working dogs. bythe time i went back to check all sold out end out last mth.
i am also member of 2 facebook group -dog for sale-adoption  and pets for sale in kl and slangor.
unfortunately many are not telling the truth. when i go to see the advertiser, they say the dog sold out. they their best to tell me to take other dogs because fit me and my partner more better. some even told us gsd are more suitable for indians and not us (chinese).

to tell you the truth, i and my partner am a bit sick of all this groups.

for about 3k  i might as well get direct from ben sabelle or the pahang family.

Bro. Green Hulk,
Do you mind share the Pahang breeder info? (You can PM me if you want to) From what i read from in this forum, got a breeder in Genting, Pahang also not bad but i don't know which part of Genting and what is their contact number.
