my dream dog. Going to get a male from my GF's dad. he is a dog breeder. Still waiting for a next batch of puppies. Looking forward for a male one.

I would like to know whether you send your GSD for trainings? or you train them your own?

Ahh I see... nice. I always wanted to have a GSD as a pet. My mom doesn't like dogs, but now she had passed away so I think GSD will be a good companion for me and my dad.

My gf's dad location is at Kuala Kangsar, different breeds is available like labrador, golden retriever, rottweiler for now. Used to have beagle, shi zhu, pugs. He have another friend who is specialised in Huskies.

Hi,

Glad you going to join us in this gsd hobby. we train the gsd ourselves. for obedience and minor protection. read a lot of books and watch some video, I guess that is about it. ohh, I go and see how ppl train their dogs too. but this will take up a lot of time and dedication. My advice, if you cam afford it, just send to dog trainer if you are not into sch and etc.

By the way, your gf dad is a gsd breeder or just all kinds of breeder? what is his location. thanks.

How do you mean by minor protection? Do you mean that you train the GSD to guard the house?

i may be wrong but notice that gsd aren't so popular is malaysia compared to breeds like labrador and golden retriever and smaller breeds look at this thread only few of us discussing huh. but what attracts me is that gsd are mostly used as police dogs. Love the sam at i'm legend movie.

Dear Jesstin, with due respect do you recon you are too much? I think you should stop being a nuisance. Notice none of the members here supported you? Bare in mind this is a GSD forum, and how many of us are planning to make their dog participate schutzhund? I think you should open a new thread maybe called "German Shepherd schutzhund something", you might gather some people with the same interest as you... instead of contributing to this thread you started flame war with sirissac & the worst thing is to insult GSD which you think its not from the champ breed of family, I think you really get the wrong idea, to most of us here is to share the love for GSD, a dog is a dog, you don't insult god's creation!

How can u love the breed if u support those greedy breeder or puppy mills who breed just for money?

Are supporting those breeder who breed dog without proven parents?

Don't u believe in training your dog or participate in OB trails not just schutzhund?

We r not starting a war with those 2 idiots but just to highlight what those lies they r telling.

We r against those who simply breed GSD not those who breed quality GSD.

It should be written a GSD is a GSD and it must behave like a GSD not a poddle.

We don't need anyone to support us if we r telling the truth.

u're talking about superior quality dogs here rite? I agree that those GSD with hip prob should not be used to breed but I don't agree that rejected GSD should stop breeding. There is always a market for dog which parents did not have Schutzhund qualifed. How much you pay for those superior proven quality GSD? Most people in Malaysia would buy the dogs as house pet, average people they will spend 1-2k for a puppy. How many people can afford 5k above for a dog?
