relax. gsd ear are not borned straight up right away. usually it will come up as early as 6 weeks to matybe even 6 months. during teething period the teeth might go back down. but nothing to worry if they are up before, they will goup again.

I rescue this fella from a pound. A lot of ppl told me that he looks like alsatians. Does he looks like 1? And is there anything that i can do to make his other ear stands up again? it was 1up and 1down.. then the other 1 came up for 2 weeks.. then went back down for almost a month now..

He should be 3-4mths old now.

I'm an avid dog owner. I used to own two german shepherds when i was younger but unfortunately they passed on at the ripe age of 14 human years. Anyway, seeing that dog of yours reminded me of my dog when I was little. I can't fully say if it is in fact a german shepherd but from the face it does look like one. My dog had the problem with the ears too haha, and it really makes them cute so this is what we did. We bought a strong tape (not like a duct tape, more like a reinforced selo tape) and taped the dog's years from the inside to the outside, covering the whole ear so that it stood up. Some german shepherds have this problem when they're older (5 months old). If your dog's still young perhaps you can give it time but still taping the ear won't do any harm to him.

***Edit: OF course we only covered the outer skin of the ear, not the entire ear. That way the dog might not be able to hear.

When young look like brindle but the grow up pics look like dark sable. Interesting color. I was never into sable so i could tell much. But I know sables changes color in stages. i like your sand outdoor. anyone want to post pics of the kennel??

i got a 2 months old GSD..... and i think he's having a weak back leg problem..... he walk normally can fall himself one not to mention run LOL......is this a serious problem for the dog? if it is is there any ways to cure it so that it can become a normal dog living a normal life juz like other dog? thx

yes, showline do have sable color. not many but there is some sable. the reason the germans do not show much sable is because it is hard to get high placing with sable. the prefer color is still black/red. as for sable showline in malaysia, i think there is none. correct me if i am wrong but i have not seen any sable in showring here yet.

do let me know too if you know the breeder breeding sable line showline gsd. i would like to take a look. me busybody la. lol. there is a few gsd breeder in kl. i am from jb so it is a distance for you. last time breeding stock is black and tan but then now in germany the trend is moving toward black and red and with a nice black mask. black mask make the dog look fierce. lol.
