My dog is extremely aggressive to outsiders as well, you can blame it on him not being professionally trained. But once he sees his owner not minding the outsider being in the house, and realised he/she is a "good guy" he stops barking and is all good, smart dog. biggrin.gif
*
Normally when the owner does not mind about the outsider, then the dog will be calmer... My dogs are like that too. Imagine... it's a labrador that barks at outsiders hahahah.... but when we treat the outsider in a friendly manner, she becomes a doll and tries to get pats from everyone.

thank you thank you for the compliments notworthy.gif

Felix the SH, was actually an abandoned dog, rescued by a friend and rehomed to us. he was a bit difficult to deal with initially, but after awhile became affectionate and obedient.

i would suggest adoption if possible la, because an older dog can be taught new tricks, and will settle in with the new family, as long as you have time and patience. i would love to adopt another one, but just like crazymouse, i already have two 'legal' dogs, and getting another one might land me in hot soup with the authorities!

if you're considering getting a pup, why not take a look at the many adoptions going on? they too deserve a good home...

anyways, honestly, between the GSD and the SH, the GSD is super duper easier to train tongue.gif

I think German Shepherds are waayyy too cool. Love them! Too bad I can't have one. My dad's got asthma (and also my cousin who is living with me), doctor's advised was not to own pets like cats and dogs. @_@

Hi everyone. I'm an alsatian fan. Unfortunately I do not own any alsatians. I've been searching around the net and it seems that a good breed alsatian pup cost 2400 and above......as for the local pet shop in penang.....so far i've never seen one alsatian before. if anyone knows of any reputable breeders in penang or any pet shop that have healthy alsatian pups please do inform me. i've been wanting to own one and finally i'm now financially stable enough to properly own and care for a dog.

Lol, I know, it's sad really when you like something but knowing you can't have it. I like few types of dogs too, and cats! Oh well, I do know when I'm old enough to own a house or a place to live, I will get either a dog or a cat! ^__^;

Why wait for petshops? There are so many breeders that you can contact, much much better than a petshop. Just call up MKA and get a list of contacts lah.

Normally a petshop would get from a puppymill or a cheap homebreeder, get the pup for RM800 or RM900 and resell them at Rm1500... so you want them to earn so much by getting you a pup that you have no idea if it has good temperament or good health?

Hun, I have simply pick up a contact from the list above there. I called and he told me he doesn't breed any of German Shepherd. I am newbie...mind to elaborate more on MKA? The list consists of all breeders, including thos puppymill and homebreeder? Thanks a million~

No doubt, I want to get the cheaper one, good health and truly pure. smile.gif

Added on October 9, 2007, 9:52 pmOh got it from MKA web site, will call it tomorrow. Thx.

Malaysian Kennel Association.... they will give you a long list, so you will have to call and check. Make sure they are only selling german shepherd coz some will sell a few types of dogs, normally this are puppymillers or homebreeders that seek more income in breeding lots of dogs. So ask alot of questions and if the breeder got patience to answer then he or she is ok....

The ears will be standing when he grows up. I never worry of it because this is naturally as it has been told by the breeder.

Yes, we were driving up to Genting and bought it there. His father is really huge in size.....

Here seems like no Shepherd owner anymore?
