My mum used once like 10 years back. It exploded while cooking, luckily no one injured. Since then, my mum never use any glass-made materials for cooking.

I was about to say that it can explode, yr fingers faster.

But I've used long ago w/o any issue.

Now i use induction so only stainless steel cookware.

use glassware for cooking.. sure explode if there's drastic temp changes..

all these pyrex stuffs so expensive in malaysia.. in UK, after conversion - the price is still less than half of what has been selling in Lazada.

Marinex is good - their prices is the same as what's being sold by Pyrex in UK after conversion.. maybe it's cheaper because it uses soda-lime glass instead of borosilicate glass..

buy original Vision glass cookware.
Been using them for more than 30years.
Direct from fridge (not freezer) to gas flame without any problems.
Of cos the heating up is slower than metal.
but heat retention is better, so boiling soup will still boil even though already remove from gas flame.
Be careful soup will be damn hot!
Do NOT use metal scrub to clean. Just soak over night for stubborn stains.

glass is good. but very good care is needed during maintenance

it only takes a bit of a bang to have micro cracks that you can't see, then potential glassplosion edi
