I just received my 2nd summons for speeding since I drove really. And there is something I don't understand. I open the letter and there I see some code numbers on the top and says there A. Behind that form, there is another letter with same code numbers and says B. Only difference is that in letter A the compound stated there is maximum compound RM 300. But in the B letter it states RM150. I was doing 100km on a 80km way at Kulim. I think at the industrial park on the way to penang. So how do you read this letter? I don't want to bring both to police then kena that RM300, better bring that RM150 instead. Can explain to me?

yes I think so. So just bring this one or both? Also I heard that police cannot give reduced compound for speeding anymore? Is it true?

if the letter was issued before the minister's approval of discounted rate, most probably there's still hope. else sure kena full value.
since your's they send 2 letters, by right still can get discount, unless the 2nd letter is under a different charge.

dunno bout discount rate but i just paid my summon just now~

one for speeding = rm150 "reduced" to rm100
another for not wearing seat belt = rm100 "reduced" to rm70

have to pay cos my dad was soooooooo scared that he couldnt renew the road tax...
when we checked the speeding ticket was on 2004...
then my dad asked me "camana boleh renew roadtax?"
i couldnt reply~

No need to pay yet...hehehe...tunggu discount period or when got operasi where the TV cameras and polis traffic come to your house...free publicity

best is don't bring the letters and don't sign letters...otherwise tolak mata kejara...just go balai, ask them to cetak....also, just bring a simple surat rayuan and if the ketua trafik ada, mintak him approve the rayuan and u pay only rm100....

I kena once before back date to 2004, and 2005 i able to renew my roadtax w/o any issue. But on 2006 last year, it blocked due to summon back to date 2004.

What makes frustrated is, i paid 100 bucks to my friend and so called know who who who able to "kaotim" it. W/o any doubts since i was able to renew on 2005.

It takes at least 2 years to update the freaking records on their database. That's terrible and ppl will use these lophole to scam our money. So please beware of it and make sure pay it via correct channel and ask for reciept if possible.

if kena summons:-

1. got letter or not, just go and check at the police station and pay up. they will usually give 30% discount(for speeding ticket) even without you writing a surat rayuan. full RM300 and no discount if kena during OPS Sikap.

2. everything is already in their computer system. Just go and ask them to print out for you if you do not have the copy of the original saman.

4. dun wait a few years to settle. they will always issue arrest warrant for those a few years never pay ones like last year on tv.

5. you can usually wait for massive discounts every year. just make sure dun wait more than 1 year. massive discounts usually during merdeka month and year end when they want to calculate "profit".

I went to police station, I say the rayuan gave me RM 150, he says I only need to pay RM100. But then system down, so need to pay next time.

yup....the system is not all perfect.......

i think the letters you get is like this:-

1. rm300 is the max if you dun pay by certain time limit
2. second letter rm150 is the real saman if you pay in time
3. after rayuan....you need to pay rm100 as the police say.....best is take down the phone number and call before you go...that what I did.....

Do you think it is possible for you to get 2 summons in the same day ? I heard my friend did receive 2 before

why not.....maybe at different location got different operation.....

but most likely will not get 2 summon from the same place unless summons for different offences
